There are two options for you to buy bottles of good beer to go and Schmicks Market is the better one. This is an old relic of a grocery store but they’ve got a small selection of some regional goodies. Prices are really good. What is impressive for the area is the quality of the bombers. It’s only one shelf, but great one offs from Boulevard and the like linger around. Since this is Nebraska, prices are 10-25% lower than I’m used to paying.“ |
| 70 /100 404 W A ST “I like how Loop Brewing has tastefully fit in to the rest of sleepy little McCook. The old-school brick building just yards away from the train tracks is a great structure to house a brewpub. The decor is simple, but tasteful and not too crazy hip for this small town. The service was great. Actually, I met a lot of friendly people in Nebraska. The food is quite good and we saw a few families coming in to enjoy some pizza. My only qualm is that the beer needs a little attention. Flaws, particularly diacetyl, were very prevalent in what I drank. Loop has a lot of potential if they could address that very important issue.“ |
