“A small café in a pedestrian zone close to the city-centre, the beer list offers some great brews from Quebec (McAuslan/St Ambroise) and some obscure swiss micros; not very cheap, but surely an oasisis in this "desert", a region, which is dominated by depressing mass-market lagers. Surely worth a visit, when You are around...“

“I went one day with my daughter after to visit my grandfather in Goumoens. In my point of view, it is a an interesting place with some breweries of the north of Vaud, really hard to find to others places. The atmosphere of this shop is nice, the service is regular, the prices are unfortunately"Swiss label" craft beers shop prices, really interesting to rate some small breweries.“

“Easy to find shop in the center of Yverdon. Amazing offerings of the booming Romandie beers scene - what a change compared to years ago. Full wall dedicated to Swiss beers, loaded 2 full boxes, got the book co-authored by Bov. Friendly service with a lot of recommandations, fair prices - albeit for Switzerland. Best part, is that I got my Swiss family hooked on some of the beers, and they assured me they’d go back to buy local beers.“

“I used to visit friends in this street a few years ago, I would never have imagined to find here, one day, an excellent beer shop. There is everything you need for your vice: a good number of local Swiss micros, some BFM, few imports from France/Italy/Canada, and a good number of Belgian beers, including some expected Lambic; I don’t remember if there are beers from the USA. The township provides free internet across the town, but you probably need to stay close to the door to get the connection. Jazz music plays, that was depressing for me. Prices are not cheaper than other shops. To date, probably one of the best beershops in this part of Switzerland.“

“I’ve rarly seen such a simple shop, every brewery in Germany has something bigger; this is just an empty room with a few bottles here and there; they don’t even carry all their beers, and in general they are sold in packs, not singles; only thing, they sell those nice (but expensive) 2 liters amphorae. As probably nobody really buys here, nobody attends the shop, you need to walk upstairs to the office and call somebody. And, it’s not really craft beer.“

RUE DE LA PLAINE 15
“Visited many times; they focus on food, but they have a few beers from Trois Dames, some Swiss cider (expensive) and possibly some Ice Cider from Fruit’Art. There are better places in town for beer, but this is worth a stop too, as they are all close by.“

“I happened to visit some friends regularly between 2010-2011, and this town-size wine shop just around the corner was a great discovery; for anybody in the region, this is one of the very few places with good beers, without going till Lausanne; being quite close to Trois Dames, they usually carry a wide selection of their beers; other Swiss micros available too (Chauve, BFM…). They also have a couple of Swiss ciders.“

“When they opened (late 90’s?) it was an interesting presence in the dry region, as they were importing few beers from Quebec France and England. With the growth of the craft beer movement it seems that they didn’t grow in parallel, and today the offer is shy. Last time I was at the café, I was not impressed at all, dark and smelly. Still, if you happen to be in town, I doubt there are other places to drink a beer.“
