“Garfields is owned by the company that runs charlie browns. It is the first one in the country. It is their trial run at their version of a craft beer bar. Their sign emphasizes "craft beers-burgers-wings". It just opened up this summer, so I’m really keeping my fingers crossed that they survive. It’s a great place to catch a game with many tvs. the service is great and its a very clean family friendly atmosphere in the restaurant. The service at both the bar and restaurant area is great. The food, unfortunately, has been inconsistent in quality. However, the food seems to be improving. They have about 12 taps and I hear they have plan to add more. Bartenders (I’ve dealt with Allison and Collin) are excellent. They had on tap for $4 was the following Rogue double chocolate stout, Kane head high, Carton boat beer, Brooklyn post road pumpkin, Flying Fish hopfish and a few others I cannot remember. They are always asking the customers for their opinion on what they are drinking and they are very open to suggestions for beers to be tapped in the future. Overall, great startup that is steadily improving and has great prices. I’m sure that once the craft beer crowd starts showing up more regularly their selection on tap and bottle will explode. Biggest complaint from the locals is the inconsistent food. But like I said, its getting better. “

“Jersey gets a bad wrap, but if you’re there then you have to try this place. Amazing seafood and a very respectable tap and bottle list. It’s expensive, but treat yourself -- you’re on the Jersey Shore!“

“Great bottle shop in Brielle. Was my go to beer store when I lived in Belmar. Great selection and knowledgable staff who do tastings on Fridays and openly ask you if you need any help or if there is some beer you’d like to special order. As far as selection, there’s plenty to choose from. However, what you see on the shelf is pretty much what will always be there. the amount of new brews coming through here isn’t as much as I’d like to see, but to be fair this is a symptom of New Jersey bottle shops. Despite all this, there is enough on the shelves for you to mill through for a long time.“

“In the area, selection is only bested by Spirits in Red Bank, AFAIK. Store is modeled very nice (especially compared to the Jon Ron in Wall). Seasonal rack, new arrival rack. Saw Climax Brewing growlers on the shelf (cool). People: chill. Atmosphere: encouraging. Attitude: positive. Have always been very well attended to here.“

“Jonathan Ron is a great place with a wide selection of beers and wines. There beer list has room to grow in comparison to their wine selection, but I find I can obtain beers here that I can’t find at other places in southern Monmouth-Northern Ocean County. The service is hospitable. I purchased a gift certificate during the holiday season and promptly lost it. Jonathan Ron saw that as NP and quickly, without complaint, voided the old and issued a new one.“

“This is my new go to store. I have been coming here for about two years now but within the last two months this place has made some serious improvements. First off almost everything is priced now which makes picking out bottles that much easier. The beers now are arranged by style and the beer section has grown to include an endcap with lots of new arrivals on it. They are now starting to carry craft beer kegs too. Service used to be nonexistant but it looks like a new beer lover or two have been hired and I have even been offered help on my last two trips. As for prices I have found a few bottles badly mispriced, sometimes this works in your favor othertimes not....I don’t think they will have any luck moving 22oz bombers of Southampton Imperial Porter at $13.99 each but I stocked up on Ballast Point bombers when they were just $2.75 each!!!“

“My local, < 2 miles from home. Used to be the best w/in 5 miles and had a few rarities, but not any more. Until recently, beer was kept in great shape. Then the store underwent a renovation (still in the works) and the worst occurred - coolers. All beer is now kept ice-cold in very bright light. Bad things are happening to hoppier beers. OTOH, I’ve bought Orval which have been great, etc. This place had been my go-to but is now hit-or-miss. Selection is fairly broad with fair representation of East Coast brands incl Clipper City, Avery, UK & Belgie bottles, and a rotation of seasonals; it’s 1/10 of Spirits in Red Bank, but still the place to go if you’re in Manasquan, Brielle, Brick, or Pt. Pleasant. Staff? Most are cheerful and pleasant. However, occasionally be prepared for a bucket load of attitude taken out on you and your bottles. I’ve never been asked if I needed assistance, despite spending upwards of 15 minutes in the beer aisle on any given trip. The store has value to me only because it’s close by, and the prices are very fair, even cheap. I’m hoping that the bad beers I’ve gotten recently are not a sign of things to come. I didn’t add the place myself, as it’s borderline worthy of including here, especially with Spirits in Red Bank only 15 minutes away. Update: Things are looking up, I’ve upped my score.“
