“(Visited 11/2015 and many times since): Hoof Hearted's brewery is located out in the farmlands of Marengo on County Road 26, a couple miles off rte 61 and I-71. Parking next to the brewery has recently been expanded, but they still run out of spaces during the more popular releases.

There is a large outdoor space which continues to be expanded, with a retaining wall, a few picnic benches and plenty of room for lawn chairs and tailgating/bottle shares (which are illegal and should not be done per a sign inside the brewery).

The taproom is standing room with a short walk-up bar in the rear, and a short standing bar on the right. Very industrial feel with the canning line and barrels in the space, and a standing bar along the right. There is an electronic been menu on the right that shows what is on tap during releases.

As for the taps, there are usually 6-8 on release days, typically including the beer(s) being canned plus other selections. Hoof Hearted beers skew toward IPAs like Konkey Dong, Roller Blabe, Dragon Saddle, I Must Look Like A Dork, the Everybody Wants Some series and on and on. The beers are typically very good.

Service during the releases is consistently good. The bartenders who handle draft and boxing up cans are always friendly and work hard.

The brewery does not offer food but they typically have a food truck during their events.

Overall the hype around this brewery doesn't look to die down any time soon, so standing in line has become the norm, but it is always fun to go up during a release even without a ticket to get a good beer on draft and hang out in the picturesque country setting.“
