“Wonderful place. Really an experience. Go visit the Abbey. It's serene, beautiful. Just down from it is the brewery surrounded by hop fields. The brewery itself is small. Some seating outside and inside. Small amounts of snacks available. Had 10 beers on tap, some swag and bottles to go. The brewery is 100% run by monks and the head brewer is a Priest. Amazing old school, really craft place. The beers are amazing. Just lovely.“

“A nice chill place out in the farmland. Good beers. A mix of Belgian styles with some IPA, pales and others. Relaxing location.“

“It's a somewhat scenic place outside of Mount Angel and the solitude and peace of the nearby Abbey certainly imbues the place with a serene quality. The beers are pretty solid, though anyone looking for traditional abbey ales is going to be disappointed.“

“Went here today with my girlfriend..i had forgotten the brewery was up and running. We went to visit the wonderful and peaceful monastery..on the way up there e spotted the brewery sign..so after prayer and meditation dropped in for a pint. The place is on a small rise overlooking the fields and woodlands ..i think a hop field too ( now harvested)..clean modern building with seating and standing tables..when i was there there was one monk and a few servers. it was a wonderful October day so there was still seating outside. There was only 3 beers on tap but between me and the g/f we had all and all were top quality. I loved the helles ( oh so ironic)..excellent. No food that i could see..but overall i could have sat outside looking at the bountiful land until dusk..which we did. Recommened“

“This is a great place to go for the German pub experience. Friendly staff. beer selection is limited to mostly German brews and American lagers and ales“

“Stopped in yesterday afternoon for a beer and a bite to eat. 32 taps. Spaten, Ninkasi, Russian River, Lost Coast, New Belgium, Deschutes, 10 Barrel and Widmer Brothers are just a few that I remember. I had a bacon-cheeseburger that was good and realy hit the spot. The place was roomy with a long bar and some tables. There was a patio out back, but I forgot to check it out because it was pouring down rain. I was most impressed with the enthusiiasm of the owner/bartender/cook. He was very excited about all the different beers and brewerys that he was trying to bring in for his taps. He was also excited that they were in the process of getting a license to sell kegs, growlers and bottles. He indicated that he hoped to stock 100+ bottles for sale. I wish them the best of luck and will definitely be back to check things out.“

“This place was also closed when I rolled through, I do not know if I came on the wrong day of the week or if it is closed permanently. Will have to try again sometime.“

“Dropped in here with the wife and daughter not long ago. It seems to be in an old railway station or the like. Walked up the ramp and as soon as we entered the door noticed a large area reserved for country/craft style gifts and preserves etc. The restaurant/bar itself is very large and spacious again done in a sort of American west/Bavarian crossover style..it surprisingly works fine. Unfortunatlly they no longer brew their own beers, which saddened me. However they did have a few germans on tap ,I had a Franzikaner Hefe, I also spotted a Spaten Optimator tap and a Paulaner. There are also 4 or so North-West micros along with the regulation BMC. Service was very good and the waitress very attentive. The food was also good, most of it rooasted or grilled ( they seem to be the local dealer for Traeger BBQ grills). All in all i enjoyed but sad to see the brewery is no more. --“
