“Man I love this place. Off the main hwy a few blocks, but so worth the journey. I’ve been to Ireland/England/Wales 4 times and I’ve NEVER found a place in U.S. that even came 1/2 way as close to the real deal as here. So un-contrived it almost brings me to tears. Good beer, good food, and soooo comfortable.“

“Excellence atmosphere. It’s the perfect little English-style pub outside of England. There’s something for everyone: the bar, the family rooms with boardgames, the living room and dining areas. The place was empty when we went for lunch on Friday around 1230. Service at the bar, food brought out to your table. The food was good, the three beers we had were quite enjoyable. They focus on the cask ales, which is awesome, but they also had their own IPA and stout, as well as some guest taps. The prices are great: $2.50 for a half pint of 10 oz, and double that for the 20 oz pint. I wish this place was in my town.“

“Simple pub style service (order at the bar) and plenty of cozy corners to cozy up in, this is the perfect hideaway. Unique & authentic cask condition ales like a little pub in Britain. Total of 6 cask beer engines/pumps and 6 more draft taps with a rolling variety including a cider and sometimes mead. New kitchen manger starting in January 2012 completed this place! Summer can get busy and patio can get full, but people are always friendly and willing to share! Plan on staying longer than you thought. This is a place to hangout in for hours!“

“June 2010. This place is in the middle of nowhere and is definitely a favorite haunt for the locals. I loved it! Serving all Real Ales, this place was right up my alley. My only disappointment on my visit was that they weren’t offering any samplers. You could ask for a sip of a beer you might like to buy, but that was it. Pints were a surprisingly inexpensive cost, considering you couldn’t get any real beer for miles and miles otherwise. If I ever find myself back in this neck of the woods, I will certainly be back. Purchased glassware while I was there, and I remember the place fondly whenever I drink from them!“

“This is the place. One of the most exciting things to do with beer in the US. Ted has established a true Public House where neighbors and visitors can hang out, feel comfortable, have a chat or game of scrabble, get some grub, and of course grab a pint (a measured Imperial Pint). Ted’s beers are sublime. It not just that they are delicious, they stand apart from anything else available in Oregon if not the entire West Coast. All Brewers Union beers are conditioned in and served from traditional English casks via hand pump. In true Northern England style, Ted utilizes a sparkler for most of his beers which contribute to the glorious seemingly-immortal thick head that develops on top of each pint as it is pulled. Visit Oakridge, have a walk in the hills, a swim in the lake, stay in the beautiful new hostel within walking distance of the Brewers Union Pub! This is an ideal stop between Eugene and Bend.“

“Now here is a place that deserves more fame, although I reckon it is a bit out of the way. Luckily it was along the road from Eugene to Bend for us. We stopped in for lunch and pints to find a real, family-friendly, community-centered cask ale pub. I could have lingered all day. Might do that next time. Friendly folks and casual atmosphere... games and books and tap handles and a window into the small brewhouse.“
