“On the final day of our visit to the Finger Lakes District, a Monday, we found out that a number of the breweries on the “Beer Trail” are closed on Monday and Tuesday, (even the famous “Ithaca Brewing”!), since they are open all weekend long. We were a bit disappointed, then I looked at my map on last time, and right at the bottom of the map, near Waverly, New York, right below the State Line in Pennsylvania at 18 Pitney St, South Waverly, PA 18840 (Near Sayre) is a very nice microbrewery. We called ahead, and they have good hours, open till 9 pm. They have a kitchen too, and serve some pretty good food. Everything from a “Grilled Sweet Lebanon Bologna Sandwich”(with cheddar cheese) to the unlisted nightly special, some very good beef brisket that my wife and I both enjoyed. They make a nice selection of beers, (I missed their new release Porter by one night!), a Pineapple Mango Wheat that my wife really enjoyed, a nice quality Octoberfest, a Pale Ale, several IPAs, an incredible Cucumber Basil, their wonderful 1537, Imperial Blonde Ale, (That I highly recommend), their outstanding Goldfrapp Hazy IPA , and several seasonal beers too. The people here are great folks and they really take an interest in you. This might be a drive for you to get here, but I urge you to make the trip to this solid microbrewery rather than wasting your time on those generic “me -too” type shops that seem to be popping up everywhere. We jumped on PA Route 220 on leaving and heading back to Central Pennsylvania, and even in the pouring rain, we found that to be good highway.. We will be coming back again“

“A pleasant and new looking building. Pleasant staff and free offers of samples. They have a flight and it is OK priced. Problem with this place is the beer is some of the worst I have ever had. Quality is very poor and they still sell it, so unless you REALLY want the ticks, avoid.“

“Nice looking building. Beer was really bad. Almost as if they were trying to brewed obviously flawed beer to teach them to a class but sold the beers anyway. House cider was good though. They should become a cider house because the beer thing isn’t working.“
