“Comfortable pub in the centre of town. Saturday night, NRL on TV, quiet music. Typical Oirish design. A couple of beers I've not seen (but I don't live in NZ so no surprise there). Pop in if you're passing. Menu is standard pub grub.“

“Part of the White Hart Hotel complex. Four beers on tap plus a large selection of bottles and cans (all on menu). Cheap thin based wood fired pizzas too. Casual layback place. Perfect for after work drinks or casual lunch.“

“Stopped in for dessert and a beer. Good tap list, with 6 taps all NZ micros, including a few Taranaki locals when I was there. Decent bottle list with good prices. Food menu seemed a bit all over the place, though our desserts were nice. Atmosphere seemed to lack a little of the class that the beer list deserved. Service was friendly, though seemed to be a little lost with where any of the food was going.“

“Trendy little pizza joint down an alley. Decent selection of beers, 4 on tap and a long bottle and can list. All NZ micros. Fantastic wood fired pizza. Service good. Nice place.“

“Funky Bar and Burger joint in central New Plymouth. Have approx. 30 craft beers on their drinks list from Liberty, Epic, Mikes, Parrotdog, Brew Mountain, Garage Project plus a couple of Mid Strength Macros. Bar is down stairs and upper mezzanine floor holds around 30. Food menu is around 10 types of burger with sides. Also fried chichen option. I had the seasonal Billy T Goat burger with onion rings and a Yakima Scarlet Red Ale. All good. Worth a looksee if you are in NP and fancy a place that has a decent beer list to choose from.“

“Crazy-friendly staff, interesting mix of quasi-gourmet with basic bangers/mash pub fare. Not a lot of beer choices but Guinness is there. A lot of fun.“

“Great food, nice service, Brew Mountain on tap - which is good, but unfortunately no dark beers on tap. Their bottle selection though is no less than amazing.“
