86 /100 1860 BLACK HWY Visited on a Saturday afternoon in the spring. A little out of the way if you’re in or around Charlotte (30 minute drive), but well worth it. This place has the best ciders I’ve ever had (not that I’m a cider connoisseur). This place is located at the orchard itself right off of a highway near York. They have a big outdoor covered area with several rows of long wooden picnic-style tables. At the outdoor bar, they had 8 different ciders available on tap as well as bottles to-go (including a 9th cider in the bottle that wasn’t on tap). 5-cider sampler flights were available. You can also take their ciders to-go in growlers. They had some really delicious donuts available in addition to a couple of other snacks. I’m not a huge cider person, but I’ve been blown away by their products and this location is definitely worth a visit. I’ve heard that during the fall weekends, it can get very busy - sounds like they have apple picking and other farm related activities that bring out the masses. So, check it out in the spring and summer! |
