52 /100 PELTORIVI 7 Conveniently close to what seems to be the main parking lot for visitors in Fiskars, just a quick stroll away. Visited the shop after having a nice walk in the area. Fairly good selection of their own brews (within the legal ABV range) and a couple of "guest" beers. Hardly worth a detour or a trip in itself, but certainly worth checking out if you happen to visit Fiskars and they are open. |
60 /100 PELTORIVI 7 The brewery building's not much to look at from the outside, but it's a nice little facility inside - they have a fantastic 50-year-old (and still going strong) bottling line! We had a privately organised tour by one of the founders, not sure if the public would have that opportunity. The shop's nice, it has a fishbowl window overlooking the majority of the brewery area. Of course (cold) bottles can be taken away, and you don't need to go far to find a lovely environment to crack them open, as it's right next to the river. Don't try to sit on the gin-bar next door's terrace, they'll get in trouble if you do that. Like much of Finland it's a little remote, but it's a beautiful part of the country, so if you're doing the south-west, you might want to pass by here. They have their full range available. |
