Especially their Finnish domain beer section is impressive (for Pori). Prices are ok. Manager of this shop is interested in craft beer, so it keeps selection interesting too.“ |

Service is friendly, prices pretty normal (for Finland). And again, the selection is good, best in the city and probably one of the best of the country. I would have liked to see more of their own beers served fresh (as they make many), but I guess the taps change quite often. I didn’t eat anything, but it looks like a place where you can get a sandwich or something else bar-like.“ |

The Ruosniemi brews on tap as well as the porter especially made for them by the Beer Hunters brewpub that is practically next door. Spacious with sports blaring (hockey night) from the tellies. Service was alright, if a bit stiff. Probably because I asked for a half, but they only served medium.“ |

Unfortunately they only had three of their own on tap at the time and one of them was the IPA, which I wasn’t too fond of. The pale and dark lagers were great examples of how to do the style well though. The prices are very cheap by Finnish standards, less than three euro for a half. Unfortunately not much in the way of their own brews in bottles either and the visiting taps weren’t too interesting. But still, a place I would frequent a whole damn lot, if I lived anywhere nearby.“ |

They could have more own brews on taps. There was only 4 when I visited. Beer Hunter’s brews very cheap and great. The other taps were not that cheap but still very affordable. It seemed to be quite popular as there were lots of younger people on Saturday night. All of them weren’t there because of Beer Hunter’s beers... unfortunately. But definitely worth a bit bigger detour. I arrived with a tow truck as I had a close encounter with a moose and Pori turned out to be the final resting place for my car.“ |

Lately they have had Ruosniemen Pikkupomo on tap on regular basis, probably only place in Finland. Small bottle selection but there is some non-bulk beers available. Nothing rare, but you can find something to drink at least.
Re-rate 03/2015: Bottle selection has got much better lately and it is changing, so the worth of visit at least for locals. They have 2 Finnish micros on tap, the other one is usually from Ruosniemi, the other one is Stallhagen seasonal (mostly). Restaurant manager is very interested about craft beer and organizes the beer festival here every summer. Festival is very good with lots of Finnish microbrews available and there is a chance to meet the brewers selling their own beers. “ |

I still come here rather for lunch than for a beer. Music is usually not too loud and rather relaxing from the jukebox. Service is usually good and friendly. Uncomfortably crowded during weekends. Often live performers such as trubadours which is good. Selection is decent with some beers from the two local breweries.“ |

Edit 04/2012: My "home pub". Usually 2 to 4 own beers on tap plus at least 1 or 2 foreign micros. Bottle selection is wide, perhaps around 300. Whisky selection is also getting bigger, 270 was the last count. Prices for rare beer are dirty cheap here.
Edit: 03/2016. Their all taps are now new. Soon 24 (now 20) taps plus new real ale tap. They still brew on site small batches but main brewery is some miles from the city centre. Bottle prices are not as cheap as they used to be.“ |
