Bryggeriet i huset. Rejäla portioner av mat serverad av trevlig och kunnig personal. Sen har du givetvis insett att du inte kan köra hem efter att ha druckit X antal goda öl, men lyckligtvis har du då bokat ett av de 19 dubbelrum som finns i samma byggnad. Dessa rum bär namn efter olika whisky- och ölsorter. Morgonen därpå sätter du dig utvilad till en utsökt frukost, kanske köper du med dig några flaskor lättöl och burkar marmelad. Det här stället ska besökas igen. Snart.“

“Bredaryd is hardly a big town or the tourist central of Sweden, visited by thousands... and yet... There is this... A hotel, restaurant, brewery with its own maltery, a bar with an insane selection of bottles, be it beer or spirits. Eclectic old school (19th century vibes) design and decoration of the sitting area. 4-5 beers on tap, Krombacher (eh), their wheat and NEIPA, an Odd Island fruited sour. Brutal selection in the fridges - from Birrificio Italiano Tipopils to a Zichovec pastry stout. Nice service, patient with us despite showing up at the last moment. Food we didn't go for sadly this time. The beers on tap are definitely quite expensive, for Swedish standards too I guess, 84 SEK for 0.33l of the wheat brewed at the location! Nice facilities. All in all, clearly a labor of love and a fantastic place to drop in at if anywhere nearby.“

“Unexpected gem on the countryside in Småland. Does not look like a cosy place from the outside, but rustic and cosy indoors. Huge bottle/can selection with over 1000 beers and knowledgeable friendly service. They have their own brewery, but rarely more than one of their own beers on tap. Good food that could be accompanied with 5 beer samples as a mini tasting. A must if you are in the area and if you're not it's worth a trip on its own.“

“Very good restaurant with fantastic food, friendly service & nice ambiance. They brew up to 7 beers on site, but only one (lager-type) was available upon my visit, and was quite decent.“

“Nice place with a bar/restaurant area, and also rooms if you wanna stay over night. Bar section was cosy, kinda dark. We sat on the patio on a great summer day, and had a nice time on a slow Saturday afternoon. Always at least on of their own beers on tap. Bottle selection is really impressive. I spent a long time looking for the fridges and the bottles on display in the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit when in the area.“

“Wonderful small inn that is also a brewer and the world’s largest collection of unopened beer bottles. Over 8000 I think it was. Anyway, so was the food world class. Their own beer was okay. Prices are okay. And very knowledgeable staff. Worth a visit.“

“Have gone here for lunch a few times while driving through Sweden to Denmark (fits the route quite well). Lunch has been tiptop, as well as their own beers. The nice treat for the drivers is that they get to taste the beers from 5 cl shotglasses (as the limit for alcohol in your blood is very low in Sweden). Also if they ask if you want to see the areas downstairs, don’t even hesitate, say yes immedeately... Quite an amazing collection of beers. Selection is quite good, and during tastings they apparently have some quite special things as well. Huge selection of whisky as well.“

“It’s a bit off from most things, but we took 2 cars and drove down from Göteborg, a bit less than 2 hours away. 8 of us had the beer tasting with the "plankstek" steak and 10 beers, also spent the night. Very nice food, very good service, great even! Also interesting beer tasting. Lots of new beers available after the tasting. Also got to try one of thier own beers from tank as well as the one they had on draught at the moment. Petra managed to bring us one bottle of the 2003 Chocolate beer as well, now that’s awesome service if I ever seen it! I highly recommend a visit and a stay!“

“Thanks Per for sending us here on our way down south, and Pat for doing the driving. The brewery’s back open again, and brewing some pretty tasty beers. Upstairs it’s a bit of an open restaurant, not my favourite drinking environment. I don’t know if you can ever drink downstairs (apart for perhaps special pre-booked events, which it looks like it caters for), so the ambiance is for the restaurant only. Downstairs is worth a visit simply for the drool value. Wow! The member of staff that dealt with us was truly fantastic. One with a real knowledge and passion for beers - and very genned up on the details of their own brews (even down to phenol PPMs). Food was reasonable restaurant quality, and as such good value. Beer was a tad pricey though. (1 small beer was nearly as much as the buffet meal.) If you’re within a short hop from this place, it’s definitely worth a visit, and you may as well come at lunchtime.“

“Reopened, but the brewery part will remain closed until December until they fix the floor or something. Anyway, they had a huge selection of beers, covering nearly every style.. also had a good selection of Swedish micros, Nynashams and Jamtlands among others. Had one good Swedish stout on tap. Food (canterelle sand wedge was amazing) and only 99 kronor. The town is out of the way, and not the most beautiful, but get here if you can as the owners are making a real effort (beer sampling sessions etc). Also worth noting that they have a bunch of Vintage Belgians (no Lambic) in the cellar.“

“We drove hours out of the way to visit this place in May 2001. Even though they were closed for a private party, they let us in for a couple beers, which were good. In the basement, we found a framed beer passport and beer menu from KClinger’s Tavern, an excellent beer bar in my wife’s home town of Hanover, PA. Small world!!“
