The evening included some brewery history, a few bottled brews compared along with one of the IPAs fresh from the tank. Then a tour of the facilities. Finally a number of additional brews...“ |

| 34 /100 PIONJÄRVÄGEN 2 “The location way out of the city, close to the airport of Arlanda is not a very nice one. It’s like an industrial area with some car dealers and other shops. OK, let it be that the next door neighbor is the Lamborghini dealer but I’d prefer something cosier actually. The inside resembles the generic lunch restaurant on your block, with the difference that you have a window in to a part of the brewery. The food they served had fancy names but was quite bland to be honest. They offer all their own brews from tap, bottle or both in some cases. I tried everything they had on offer and found nothing that really stands out. The most interesting though was their version of the old Viking brew "Mjöd", based purely on honey. It resembled more a sparkling wine - almost champagneish in character - than a beer. I didn’t say it was good, but interesting.... Foodwise the menu had all the right words to make me drool, but in reality the food came out OK at best to be honest. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable.“ |
