66 /100 George’s Corner (Restaurant) 2 W ST GEORGE BLVD In search of a beer from Silver Reef and ended up here. Nice, clean place. 2 levels. Nice big Bear downstairs and dining upstairs. Good, fast and friendly service. 12 taps, 8 Utah and 4 others. Around 20 bottle/cans. Nothing out of the ordinary. Good food. |
66 /100 State Liquor Store #39 (Beer Store) 161 N 900 E As there are no other liquor stores but State Liquor Stores in Utah this is pretty alright. Quite nice selection of Utah micros. Epic beers were well presented. All beers available as singles. |
68 /100 State Liquor Store #39 (Beer Store) 161 N 900 E One of two liquor stores in St George, only places you can buy beer at. Beer selection is limited to approx 150 bottles, micros are mostly Utah and California, some national. Nothing really special, best thing I’ve managed to find was Son of Baptist. |
66 /100 George’s Corner (Restaurant) 2 W ST GEORGE BLVD So St George is not much of a beer city and Utah not much of a beer state. After dinner in nearby Asian restaurant we wanted to have a beer and this seemed like the only decent place. The place looks like a pub, wooden interior, live music in corner. Turns out law in Utah requires us to order food in order to have a beer so we opted for a pretzel. Which was pretty much awful. Beer selection is quite limited, I’d say 20 or so bottles, some microbreweries. Zion, Polygamy porter, some national micros, and rest of them macros. If new in this part of US I guess you’ll be able to find couple of new brews. Not much of other choices in town so this seems the place to go. |
