“More an Irish pub than a beer bar. Nice staff. Difficult to find something non macro among the taps but a few seem to be always there. Also quite some bottles. Didn't take a close look but seemed to contain some locals. So overall typical pub with a few craft beers.“

“Located in an older building, but with a modern attitude and a lovely patio, at the edge of the cool old refurbished riverside red brick factory area of Norrköping. There are more than 8 taps - and they included if I remember correctly 8 of their own beers and some guest beers, including a Potum beer from fairly nearby. Excellent service, friendly, communicative, professional waitress. The beers ranged from questionable to excellent, and the brewery can hit some pretty cool highs. Nothing at all to complain about the food either - seems to be American expired - Northern AND Southern, and my brewhouse burger was quite tasty. Of course, Swedish prices, but if you visit "after work" (16-18 if I remember correctly), you get a discount. If in town - a must-visit by all means, an excellent brewpub/restaurant!“

“Great place with nice brews, 8 to choose from + more brews. Really friendly serving, manage to get som small samples to lower cost vs driving. Really nice interior and great patio. Clean toilet, parking a couple of hundreds meter down the street in a parking house. Loads of interesting surroundings vs old factory history. The fish burger was nice and at a happy hour price, ie come early evening;)“

“Maten var väldigt god och vällagad, vi åt smårätter av alla möjliga sorter och avslutade med dessert. Lite synd att desserten serverades innan kaffet var klart, likaså serverades maten innan vi fått måltidsdrycken. Bra stämning med dämpad musik och fräscha lokaler. Kunskapen och utbudet kring gin och öl är utsökt och det är sann expertis som serverar. “

“Quite nice place. Wooden interior with some Chesterfield furniture. Very slow on a weekend afternoon. Average tap list with Warpigs and their own IPA. Impressive bottle list with 100+ beers to choose from. Nice service. Would not mind visiting again.“

“Old style confectionery with a lot of charm. Nice patio in the backyard. Five raps and definately more than 30 bottles. Beers were fresh, service was kind. Not worth a huge detour beer wise, but definately worth a stop when in the area.“

“Visited around 9 pm, Sat April 11, 2015.
Café turned part bar. Old school but worn down and for me not very nice interior. 5 taps, out of 3 were running. Small selection of bottles. Only stayed for one beer, didn’t eat.
Service was OK, but not much more. Seems pretty popular, hard to find a place to sample your beer, others must like it more than me.“

“Visited lateish a Sat evening, April 11, 2015.
Perhaps from 9:45 pm to 10:30 pm or so?
Fairly crowded, only 2 ppl working the bar, had to wait a bit to get service. Did get to sampeld the one beer I asked for.
Not the best BA I’ve been to, actually could move to the bottom part. Still a more than decent place to go. Not so much Swedish stuff on, but a few interesting non-SE craft stuff. I wouldn’t choose this place as ne of my stops on the next trip, I’d rather go to The Black Lion Inn that isn’t far from this place.
Didn’t eat, only stayed for the one beer.“

“Visited twice, first Fri April 10, then Sat 11, 2015.
First visit was around 10 pm to 11:30 pm, ate a nice steak at a fairly expenisve price, sampled one of their cask ales. Was busy and crowded, so service was not the best, but more than decent still.
Second visit was also late, perhaps 10:30-11:30 pm, only had the one beer, another of their cask ales on. Service was better this evening, even though about the same amount of people was there.
Has a patio, could be for spring and summer only?
Åbro (macro) owned, but have plenty of craft beers on tap and bottles still. Also a huge plus that they do serve cask/real ale.

On guest taps had Beerbliotek and Fjäderholmarnas, coming up they had Poppels, so Swedish craft can for sure be found here! Also heard they had beers from new local brewery Norrköpings.

Selection wise the place to go if in Norrköping, as of my short experince in the city.“

“Visited Thursday April 9, 2015. Lateish, after 9 pm. Only spent time at the bar, didnät check out the other room at all. Looks fantastic from the outside with the old tower lit up by lights. Was a small stretch to get to, and needed to walk around a few streets to get there.

Know this place is basically for students only! I was in contact with a member of the staff before visiting and was allowed to enter as his guest for the evening.

2 taps available, but not often in use. Some nice bottels, not a huge selection, but a good one. Prices are incredible of course, I paid 47 SEK for a GD Yeti and 40 SEK for a Founders Porter.

Young student staff that are friendly and that make sure they have tasted the selection.
Well worth a visit if you’re in town and can get in.“

“Visited twice on my trip to Norrköping. First Thu evening around 9 pm, April 9, 2015. Had "Raggmunk med fläsk" for late dinner, and sampled the for the bar brewed "Munkens IPA" which was very nice. Not crowded, but still a lot of people for a late Thursday. Food was more than decent, and this particular one at a nice price too (less than 90 SEK). Service was OK. Tap selection npt super interesting, quite a few bottles to choose from.
Second visit Saturday April 11, 2015, around 8 pm again. A few more people than Thu, still not super crowded. Ate a "Het korvgryta med ris" for 109 SEK, wasn’t that spicy/hot, but fairly nice. Only had water this time though. Service was lacking this day, especially compared to Thursday. Seems popular, is rather centrally located.
My hotel (Best Western Princess Hotel) was located just around the corner, so if you happen to stay at the same place I did this is by far the closest beer place to head for.

They did have some not so low volume in the speakers Thu evening that I felt out of place when sitting down for a meal. Sat was more noise from the numbe rof guests.“

“Feel for a proper pint at a proper pub? Then Saliga Munken is the place. They’ve got friendly and knowing personell and some fantastic beers on tap from swedish micro-breweries aswell as the best from larger breweries. Make sure to get there around 7-8 PM at weekends or else your legs will get tired from standing up all evening.“

“Vattentornet is the best pub in Norrköping and if you happen to know a student at Linköping University, i recommend a visit. Since it is a non-profit student pub the prices are relatively low and the staff work because they have a genuine interest in beer and the pub, if you don’t know exactly which beer you want, just ask and you will get a good recommendation.“

“Nice BA pub, centrally located. Semi-skilled staff and a good selection. This is where I tasted every edition of the Mackmyra distillery production from the first six years. That whisky is hugely overrated, so, thank heavens for the good beer!“

“Personal opinion here, and of course subjective. At the bottom of the old water tower in Norrköping (renovated into student housing) lies a small (30 sq. meter) pub that is open on thursdays and fridays to students and guests of dais students. Vattentornet is essentially a non-profit student organisation. The bartenders work for free to keep prices down and the place relies heavily on the wonderful passion of the crew running it to survive. This crew does however go a far way to strive to get good deals with local and less local distributers which has made Vattentornet into what I bet is the pub that has the largest selection of amazing quality top of the line beers per square foot ^^ Definately recommended, I would be lost without this place.“

“Opened in 1994, located next to the Motala Ström River and a stone’s throw from the railway station.

A pint is 53 SEK. The assortment is slowly rotated, but you can always find some British and Belgian ale, a few wheat beers and a number of domestic and imported lagers and Pilsners.Some of the bottles are exclusively imported in limited quantities.

When it comes to whisky, they offer roughly 200 different sorts, mostly Scottish malts.

The pub got assembly rooms at the second floor. On Saturday evenings, there are sometimes troubadours entertaining at the upper floor.

During the summertime, a beer garden is set up just outside the pub, facing the river. If the wheater is good, the place often gets quite crowded.

The pub grub is OK: The hot meals start at 79 SEK, ask the staff for the “tonight’s special”, usually worth its price. There is a selection of snacks and starters from 45 SEK (British crisps are mostly available for 20 SEK).

The staff are always jolly and helpful, although the turnover sometimes have been a little high.“
