“(Note...my review starts out about discovering Frost at the Brewer’s Fest with the brewery review to follow). Met the owners at this past weekend’s VT Brewer’s Fest. What a great find! While most of the tents with the northern VT stars had ridiculously long lines...and the also-ran’s were decent waits too...and while all the great beer was running out all over the show...Frost kept pumping away...with some degree of anonymity. They are only around since early 2015...and it seemed most at the show hadn’t discovered them yet (at least those coming from outside VT given the small distribution area they have so far). I was lucky...had a taste the day before the festival when a keg of their Junior IPA kicked at the Black Back in Waterbury..."just a taste". Then lucked into the same beer at the Hen in the Woods later that night...I was definitely interested. After doing the HF/LL long lines I headed to the Frost tent. I ended up using 3-4 of my beer tickets here and meeting the female half of the husband-wife team. As the festival was closing...I used my last ticket here...thank goodness...as I was then introduced her other half. That’s when I found out these are great people to talk to making extraordinary beers...especially extremely fresh hop IPA’s in particular. To make a long story short...they invited us over to their brewery Sunday morning during a time when they were closed...after they found out we were leaving town that day. What a great experience! We got the cook’s tour...lots of great conversation and insight into their history, business, brewery, and beers. They both talk to the four of us for quite a long time after which we sampled all their drafts and bought like a "bushel" of their bottles (they have growler fills to). Their hours are limited and some of their IPA’s are even more so (you must try "Some" and "Lush" among others). Trust me...these guys are making world class IPA’s in the Alchemist/Lawson’s style with their own spin on them. Note that pints are only served at special events (check their website)...otherwise it’s samples only before you make your purchase. Note that an expansion is coming...doubling the space...adding more and larger fermenters. I predict good things for Frost once the word gets out about them beyond northern Vermont. I highly recommend you make a point of including Frost in any northern Vermont beer tour.“

“Now this was an interesting stop. Tiny little place right next to an animal hospital. Tiny little bar and standing room only for 10 or so people around it. Due to licensing they can only do samples, which were like $3 for the flight - four beers when I was there. They have bombers to go, or you can get growlers. Apparently the get a pint-license on some weekends, but not all. Guy serving was friendly, knowledgable and used to work at Oskar Blues. Beers were all solid from my perspective. Fun place, mostly locals hanging out and chatting.“

“Been here several times, figured since I just bought a growler here, its best time to finally say something on this place. I’d say its a pretty clean store with good service. I forgot the guy’s name behind the counter but he’s exceptionally friendly and is always willing to talk with you. There’s a good amount about of bottles he keeps on a good rotation for the most part. When in Hinesburg, check it out because you’ll have to drive into Burlington or Williston or Winooski to find anything else, though Lantman’s isn’t bad. Go here for your growlers.“

“Finally, I get a chance to stop by. Their limited hours kinda make it hard on me, but being right around the corner from where I currently live, I had to make an appearance here eventually. I’d say this was a really nice atmosphere with really nice service for a Saturday during a holiday weekend, the one and only bartender got "things" done. She did a good job. The value seemed appropriate for the Hinesburg area, definitely go back!“

“I live in this town and refuse to return. Food is inconsistent, beer knowledge is a joke for a place with a mug club. It’s a really nice venue, but lacking in almost everything else. I really want to like it since I live so close.“

“Found this place on my way to work and was told to check it out for the beers. For a Monday, it was pretty happening, but then again, it’s tourist season, still the place was clean and the lights created a nice setting. My cali burger was half price and very good paired with the Lost Nation Saison. I’d go back, especially with the fact that it’s right around the corner from where I live.“
