“Only Nordlandspils on tap at the time of my visit, but plenty of cans from Raus bryggeri. Fairly relaxed atmosphere with two different zones, one more bar area and one with more restaurant feel for the guests dining. Probably of of the better places in the city.“

“Surprisingly nice beer selection for a small place like Mo I Rana where very few people seems to have any interest in craft beer. A decent selection of the average craft beers normally found in better grocery shops, but the interesting thing here is the ‘local shelf’ with a god selection of beer from Norsk Gjærverk, Raus, Bådin and Helgelandsbryggeriet.“

“Opens early and very convenient to purchase bottles from local breweries A/S Norsk Gjærverk and Raus Bryggeri. Also decent selection from Bådin. Note that Vinmonopolet is in the same building. Not far away by car is Coop OBS, a hypermarked with almost the same beer selection, I expect more from a big store like OBS and choose only to add Bunnpris as a place here at RateBeer. Bunnpris is also located near all hotels in town. The local brewery, A/S Norsk Gjærverk has limited opening times and is only open Saturdays for bottle sale. No problem, just visit Bunnpris! “Hmmm, this is a «Norwegian Rednecks Bar» in my opinion. Sorry... Good selection of beers from Mack Mikrobryggeri, both on tap and in bottles. But, these Mack beers are seldom not very good or exciting at all. Very expensive too! Luckily some bottles from Kinn and Svalbard. All their «ciders» are unrateable. No beers from local breweries as Raus and A/S Norsk Gjærverk. Large, covered patio in front where all guest were seated this evening, enjoying cigarettes and light macro beers. Music from Omar & The Howlers played at my visit, trying to enjoy a malty beer from Mack Mikrobryggeri. (Visited June 28th 2020)“

“Best beer selection in town in my opinion. On tap: 3 from Austmann, 2 from Raus, Nordlandspils and Kronenbourg 1664. Good selection of bottles and cans from Austmann and Bådin in the fridge. Nice bar in front when you enter, the inner section is more a restaurant. Nice service. (Visited June 28th 2020)“

“A nice English styled bar with leather furniture and dark wood. Nice patio and friendly service. Not very exciting beer selection, but this place sometimes has beer from the almost local brewery Raus on tap. Also seems to always have a special beer from E.C. Dahls. Not very many guests early in the evening this Sunday. (Visited June 28th 2020)“

Saga Pub (Bar)

“A small, mountain cabin character kind of pub with a small group of obvious regulars. The clientele indicates a typical brown pub, but to my surprise this is pub with the definitively biggest selection of craft beer in town. Focus seems to be at Mack brewery with a huge selection of beers from their microbrewery. But also, a wide range of beers from Ægir and Kinn together with a few random bottles as well as some lower quality cider boxes. The tap selection was mostly beers from Mack upon my visit. The barmaid where friendly, but I’m not sure if any beer knowledge due to language problems. That’s pretty funny as I browsed through a few articles from the local newspaper and found that there has been a controversy regarding the owner wanting to not let in guests who did not speak Norwegian. I don’t know any details regarding this story, but anyway the only barmaid did not seem to speak a single word in Norwegian. Anyway, my colleagues and my had a few good nights here and I got a decent amounts of ticks.“

“A rather British style pub with big, comfortable furniture’s and two big screens for football and sports. The craft beer focus seems to be Austmann and EC Dahls, they actually had a test batch from EC Dahls upon my visit. There where also a small collection of bottled beer on display to be picked out by browsing and to be collected by the staff from fridge. Some of the staff seems to have a certain interest of beer while others seem to be uncertain when asking for a beer bottle, but at least they asked the more knowledgeable colleague and where able to find the beer and serve in a proper glass. I manged to find one beer on tap and another from bottle that’s new for me. OK place for a quick stop or if you enjoys watching a game.“

“Nice place in the middle of town and handy located just across the street of my hotel. Partly a restaurant and party a bar, at quite evenings the dinner guests will sit in an area a bit in the back of the bar area but when crowded you will eat and drink all over the restaurant. Not fabulous selection but decent enough for a restaurant in a small town like this. Most guests seems to go for wine or Nordlandspils anyway so I was happy to find a rather god election from Austmann and Bådin togheter with some standard macro beers. They even had a beer with their own label from Bådin (No3's Kronisk Norsk) that’s probably an alias but I’m not able to identify whits so far. Staff is friendly and some of them seems to have a certain interest in beer, but they’re obvious not familiar with serving beer geeks. Still not a problem navigation through less than 50 beers. At least their very helpful and keep talking about this is a nice beer and it will have some sediments at the bottom etc. Pricing seems to be average for Norway and the food selection is god with high quality and large portions. Well worth a visit when in the area. “

“Decent selection, lots of beers from the July release and also some "extra" ones. Probably the Vinmonopolet store with best selection between Trondheim and Bodø. (Visited July 18th 2017)“
