“This grocery store is just a couple of minutes by car from the nearby brewery, Nordgården Gårdsbryggeri. Easy to find in the small town of Vik along highway 17. This grocery store had a fridge labeled "Lokalt" which means locally. Nice! Lots of bottles from Nordgården and even a beer from hard to find Bastesen & Stokvik. Hallelujah! The latter not a great beer but "unknown" as a brewery here at RateBeer before I purchased three bottles. Therefore: seek out small grocery stores in rural Norway, most of them are crap but sometimes you find local craft beer. (Visited July 17th 2017)“

“Don’t miss this place! Lots of ticks from a brewery you probably have never tried beer from. I had made an appointment per sms, but summer is peak season for this brewery and therefore "always" open. There is no livestock at the farm anymore. The barn is now converted into a microbrewery, kitchen, restaurant and pub. I was welcomed by the brewer Bård Bjarghov who showed me around. A group of locals were having a beer tasting combined with thai themed food made by the brewers wife. Two beers on tap and several botles in the pub, which will be open every day during summertime. Bottles for sale are in a trailer outside the barn. He had 12 bottles for sale, not bad for a small farmhouse brewery! Quality? Well, I have not tried them all yet, but I will say variation from below average to pretty good. The brewer said that he was still in a learning process and had a batch which went wrong. He didn’t want to sell me those bottles. Fair enough. Do not miss this place if you are visiting the Helgeland area.
