Brygga Restaurant (Restaurant)
Å IN LOFOTEN
“When the road ends in Lofoten, you are in Å. This old fishing village is very touristy during summertime but a must visit. Culture, sea and alpine mountains. A beer destination? Not at all, but this restaurant have a bottled beer in the fridge brewed exclusively for them by Bryggeri 13 in Tromsø, Å Rorbuer. I guess beer geeks will have serious problems finding new ticks in the Lofoten area, that’s why I made an entry for this place. Other beers available are from Ringnes/Brooklyn. Nice restaurant with a sunny patio built on stilts in the ocean with stunning harbor and mountain view. (Visited July 14th 2018) From their web site: Enjoy lunch or dinner with local flavours at the historic Brygga restaurant. The actual building is a former boathouse (wharf and fish landing). The building has been redeveloped and can today offer a refurbished restaurant, a bistro, meeting room facilities, a bar, as well as 11 comfortable guest rooms with roof windows. On top of this guests can experience magnificent views of the ocean and mountains. Don't miss the exciting display in the restaurant, consisting of old pictures of the former owners of the fishing village (The Kings of the Cape) - the Ellingsen family, as well as old fishing equipment and other antiques. The restaurant can host up to 200 persons for lunch and up to 90 persons for dinner. Meetings room for up to 50 persons with panoramic sea view. Welcome to a wonderful experience at Brygga restaurant. Small groups can on request enjoy an aperitif or coffee in the actual Fisherman home, which dates back to mid 19th century.“
