“Not far off Rte 33 between Shenandoah and Harrisonburg, this is a quirky, unique place. It's on a no-shit farm property, complete with free range chickens everywhere. The brewery and seating area is inside a huge old bar that's half filled with a "farm museum," with some interesting historical pieces, including a lot of horse carriages. Despite the place being fairly empty when we stopped in, it took FOREVER to get service at the bar-side ordering station. The few employees were completely disinterested in expediency! Beers were OK, lots of millenial choices, not a lot of sturdy standards. Brewery #982.“

“Hershiser largely got it. Huge space. Quite crowded on a saturday. Plenty of live music options. Beer ok. Plastic cups.“

“This is an interesting place... the drive into the farm brewery is a bit sketchy (yet maybe that makes it interesting). On the property, you cross a bridge that I was sure my car was going to fall through, loop around and pass a barn (another barn), and park in front of what definitely doesn't look like a brewery. Inside is a giant open room... I see no sign of a brewery, but several tables and a ton of old/antique farm equipment. Hmm.. there's an enclosed room to the left: that's it. Smallish room with 10 brews on tap (all decent). Each is individually priced by pint, 10 oz, and 4 oz pour. Two bartenders were nice but didn't offer much in conversation or explanation (that's fine, I had a bunch of beers to review). The most interesting part of this was what appears to be a farm museum outside of the small brewery room. Aside from a loft room (which would be fun to bring a group to). there are tons of old farm equipment, buggies, carriages, tools, etc. take up half of this large space. It took me nearly an hour to look at all the stuff... quite interesting, and I don't necessarily have an interest in the subject. Worth a stop... the beer is decent and the museum is pretty cool.“

“A cool little bottle shop in McGaheysville, VA. They have quite a bit of bottles and cans, plus a few offerings on draught for growler fills.“

Skyline Bottle Shop (Beer Store)

“Had some trouble finding this. The building is right off 33 but the bottle shop is mixed within a bunch of other businesses. Open and bright, mildly upscale vibe. 2 taps, with common stuff, at my visit it was Wolaver’s Wheat and a think a local beer. Lots of bottles, most of them common but 1 or 2 I hadn’t seen elsewhere. Left with a reserve beer from a local-ish beer. Prices seemed pretty good. Plenty of parking. Friendly shopkeeper. A smattering of chips and other snacks. Overall decent, but only stop by if you’re on 33 for some other reason.“
