“Used to be the best place for beer in Sauda until a couple of years ago. Normal Coop Extra selection, with an OK selection of Norwegian micros, but dont expect to find hidden gems here. Staff not particular interested in beers.“

“A surprisingly nice selection from a small-town grocery shop. Well stocked within most styles available below the 4,7% limit. Compatible price range and even one beer from Skudens brewery made special for this store.“

“Visited with my family in July, the cafe is open till 20:00. The two taps are both Heineken(!), but the bottled beer list includes 4 craft beers from Nøgne Ø and 1 from BrewDog. That's it. Food is average.“

“This is by far the biggest grocery store in Sauda (also big on non-food) but the beer selection has previously been less than stellar. Visited again today, and the beer selection has improved, I got many new ticks. They are probably feeling the competition from Bunnpris.“

“Big airy local just outside the main center of Sauda, still centrally located for Sauda – just 10-12 minutes’ walk from the ferry terminal. Only to taps with macro from Heineken together with some other safe macro choses in the fridge. The positive surprise here is that they actually have a few craft beer choices as well in the fridge and the only reason to list this place is that this is the best place for craft beer in Sauda at the moment. Four bottles from Nøgne Ø, two from Røros, to from Yo-Ho brewing, a couple from Gotland, one from Brewdog, a few from Eiker and some more that I have forgotten. Important to check the fridge as the many is far from updated. Food is nice and service is spotless. Great place for a lunch. The name may confuse a little, but the word KRAFT is about a historical power plant and not craft beer.“

“The best selection in Sauda, by far. Small grocery store with an impressive beer selection, lots of Norwegian micros, such as Nøgne Ø, Haand, Ægir, 7 Fjell and many more. Local brewery is Skudenes and Salikatt from Stavanger“

“The beer selection here is now much better than before, and this is now by far the best store for "grocery store strength" ( = below 4.75%) beers in Sauda. The prices are somewhat better than specialized beer stores like Gulating.“

“Small store with a decent selection, about 50 different at my last visit, even a new Mikkeller for me, most of the beers is Norwegian micros, some eurolager, probably the best sellers in this remote village.“

“Very small Vinmonopolet store, in the small industrial town of Sauda, with possibly the poorest selection of beers I’ve seen in any Vinmonopolet store. However, the staff is very friendly, and like in all Vinmonopolet stores, they will help you to order what you want, if you can wait up to a week before picking it up. Anyway, this is the only store in Sauda for beers above 4.75%. * Update: The beer selection has improved quite a bit now, and I am upping the score a couple points.“
