74 /100 INDRE RYFYLKEVEGEN 914 Cidery located up a tight small hill road. Nice place, frendly personell, we where meet by the producers and got a nice info about the ciders. Currently 5 different ciders available. The view is nice. Beside Cider they also sell juice. This place is worth the visit. Visited 24.06.2023 with Bryne. |
68 /100 INDRE RYFYLKEVEGEN 914 New cidery! I invited a friend and he was more than eager to visit all four cideries in Ryfylke. The only option is to do this by car. I had checked out that Eiane Gard was open. We was met by the ciderist's father who did a great job serving us. Two brand new bottled ciders and two apple juice. The ciders was really good, I served both at a private tasting session later. (Visited March 5th 2022 with Untappd Jostein) |
56 /100 INDRE RYFYLKEVEGEN 914 This is not a brewery, but a cidery - selling bottles of their own two quality ciders (and apple juice) for takeaway. Open only Thurs/Fri/Sat. Situated along Ryfylkevegen between Nesvik (take the ferry from Hjelmeland to get there) and Erfjord. Well worth stopping by to pick up their ciders. They also plan to open a bed & breakfast from summer 2022, and I assume they will then be licensed to serve their ciders in house. |
64 /100 SKIFTUN 36 After the ferry from Hjelmeland to Nesvik and then driving the short drive further to Skiftun then we reached Buhagen. This small cidery is cituated in a really nice cultural landscape. Sunny and facing southwest. The small shop "Krambuå" was actually the local grocery store back fully running until 1958. The old grocery counter is still inside. One apple cider for sale. Friendly service. The production facilities are downhill to the fjord in a warehouse at the quay. 58 /100 SKIFTUN 36 Basically what Bryne said. Their first cider is Bølgeskvulp at 8.5%, well worth sampling. While you are there, you might also want to stock up on meat (pre-order), apple juice and smoked salmon. |
68 /100 SKIFTUN 36 A short ferry trip from Hjelmeland to Nesvik, then turn left to Skiftun. After about 3 km, look for a sign "Skiftun" and "Gardsutsalg" on the right side pointing down the small road to the left. The word "Gardsutsalg" means "Farm shop" This small cidery is cituated in a really nice cultural landscape. Sunny and facing southwest. The small shop "Krambuå" was actually the local grocery store back in the late 50s. The old grocery counter is still inside. One apple cider for sale and also a delicious apple juice. 2021 was their first year to sell cider, in the future we can hope for a couple more different ciders. Friendly service. The production facilities are downhill to the fjord in a warehouse at the quay. (Visited April 10th 2021 with Nilsas) |
