“This brewpub is the reason why I made the detour to the islands Hitra and Frøya. I had booked accomodation in advance at Ansnes Brygger, a really nice apartment by the harbour and just some steps from the brewery and restaurant. Great place! I purchased all thirteen bottles availble to go. Lots of beer friends back home were eager to try beer from Ansnes, that are only sold here at the premises. There is a nice pub and restaurant with a spacious patio overlooking the harbour and marina. 8 taps but only one from Ansnes. But, the bottled selection from Ansnes is good! Good selection but rather mediocre beer, to be honest. Some other craft beers and ciders from FjordSider available too at my visit. Ansnes is also famous for their sea food. I had a fish and shellfish soup, good but not great in my opinion. Great service when I arrived but not the best later in the evening since the place was rather busy. Anyhow, I enjoyed my stay. “Ansnes Brygger is really in the middle of nowhere or to quantify it, 2 hours by car west of Trondheim on the Trøndelag coast. But if you make the trip, Ansnes Brygger provides a cozy place to spend the night, right on the old fishing harbor, and from 12 to 8 pm the restaurant is open, serving both food and beer. The beer is brewed on a small 110 liter Speidel Braumeister in a building next to the restaurant and on my visit they offered nine different types, some of them very good. Atmosphere is friendly and very local, you probably won’t see another tourist or even out of county person during your stay. If you’ve got the time you could also book a "ølhopping" tour, where you get taken by a speed boat to other nearby breweries (Frøya and Storm). Visited: 2016-06-22“
