“Holy shit what a place!
Further description than the two below here is probably not necessarily. The scenery is really lovely. The owners of the place are a really lovely and friendly couple as well. Solid beer! Great food!. What more can you ask for.
I have a little lower score than the two others. The reason is that the only beers available is their own. They had 4 different at my visit. But it is the only place you can get it!
They surely give you a tour in the brewery section if you ask.
Recommendable place!“

“Storli Gard now also sells more "modern" beers like Pale Ale, Porter and Stout. Make an appointment, and you can purchase bottles up to 4,7 %. Make sure to visit when grocery stores are allowed to sell beer, that’s Norwegian legislation. From Oppdal, follow road Rv 70 about 20 minutes west (21 km), turn left by Lønset and follow the road for 21 km to Storli Gard at the end of the road. Driving the Storli valley is a scenic drive, the road is narrow but not bad. I was welcomed by the head brewer Wenche Storli and her family. My bottles were ready to go in a plastic bag. I also bought a book, "Gårdsøl" by Lars Marius Garshol (larsga) Wenche showed me their historic parlor with 150-200 years old furniture. The gem for me was a large, wooden ber jug dated back to 1812! You can also see a stuffed wolverine, by the way. Nice visit and friendly service. Absolutely worth a detour if you are a true beer geek! (Visited July 15th 2017)“

“The first thing to consider is how you’ll get here and back. Basically, you drive to Oppdal, then go up a side valley for quite a few kilometers until the road ends. The valley is crazily beautiful, and the location of Storli no less gorgeous. It’s a huge farm that also offers food, beer, and lodging. The building itself is historic with massive character and lots of charm. Just lovely.

Service could not be better. Very nice people, very friendly, and helpful.

They don’t brew very often, and the beer doesn’t keep for very long, so make sure to call ahead and verify that they actually do have the beer when you get there. If they don’t, remember that producing this beer is insanely labourious, and don’t complain.

The food is great. The beer is ... almost a living fossil. It’s one of the most unique things you’ll ever taste.

Very highly recommended. I enjoyed the place so much my friends almost had to drag me away.“
