“This is an unique beer destination! Very remote location. It is situated in the wood along a gravel road on the south side of lake Laksjøen. Google Maps says it is only possible to drive from the east. This is wrong, the easiest access is from the west. From main road 74 look for the sign «Totsås and Fiskeveien». After some km on a gravel road a new homemade sign says «Totsåsrock» Here you also have to pay 60 NOK in toll road. After some more km the road goes through the yard on Sørsetra. I came from Northern Norway and arrived by the eastern access. Look for the signs «Neset and Li-Snadder gårdsbutikk» Tollroad here too. This place has no regular opening times. Every summer there is a heavy rock festival here, Tåtsås Rock. Otherwise you can visit by renting a cabin here. I did so and had arranged a meeting by the brewer. Very friendly and talkative service. He showed me the bar and I purchased bottles to enjoy alone in my cabin. Sørsetra is a nice place with several wooden buildings, a scene and many wooden figures around (A bear, a large guitar, a viking and Odin) In my cabin there was a stuffed lynx! Most beers are stronger than 4.7% and therefore only available to drink here at Sørsetra. The nano brewery is at a farm on the other side of lake Laksjøen, where the brewer lives. If you travel by car in this part of Norway and needs accommodation, I strongly recommend this place! Normally you have to rent a cabin for three days, but I guess it is not many guest here in the summer, except during the rock festival. Seems like many visit in the autumn and winter for hunting and fishing. (Visited July 31th 2023)“

Lierne Gjestegård (Restaurant)
SANDSJØVEIEN 466
“This guesthouse is convenient to visit if you want to try beers from the local brewey "Tåssås-Øl" Only bottled beers available and only to find within the municipality of Lierne, yet. There is also a restaurant in Sandvika, Liverten, where you can find bottles. This restaurant was not open since I arrived early in this rather remote part of Norway. But I got to try a bottle (part of it...) at Lierne Gjestegård. A fine place in scenic surroundings. Normally they have about five bottles, only two were available at my visit. A group of bikers had raided the fridge the day before. Beers are for drinking in house, no take away. Friendly service and I would like to visit again, but when will I ever visit this part of Norway again? Who knows. (Visited July 29th 2017)“
