“This is an really interesting place! It is a cabin in the hillside above lake Snåsavatnet. Parking just off the main road E6 and then about half an hour hike up a steep gravel road. A family is staying here four weeks every summer with a couple of cows for mountain pastures. In 2022 this place was open for visitors from June 26th to July 19th. They have to run this place and stay there for at least a month to get financial subsidy. Their cabin is a cafe for those who visits. Local sweet delicacies like waffles, lefse, jam, sour cream, fruit juice are served. But most important; they have their own beer! About 200 litres are brewed each year and only available to drink on-site. It is a farmhouse beer with caraway brewed by a homebrewer and relative at a farm nearby. Served in 44 cl cans. Beer has been served for four years. Very friendly hosts and the other visitors were local people who seemed to be regulars. Felt like visiting a private home. Indeed very cozy! Accommodation nearby? I highly recommend to book a room at the brewery Grana Bryggeri. (Visited July 17th 2022)“

“I have known about this place for many years and finally this year I managed to schedule a visit. This is a summer pasture farm on an small island in lake Snåsavatnet. Only open in July and be sure to contact in advance to check out if they are open and to order a boat ride. I used this link: https://snasaseterlag.no/?summer-pasture-farm=husmannsplassen-haroya From the main road E6, turn off towards "Østvika" Follow the road to the very end where there is a small harbor and possible to park your car. Beware, the last part is a rather rough gravel road through pasture land. The last farm is where the brewery is located and the hosts live. Beers are only available from tap on the island. A short trip by boat and you arrive the island with cows and some pigs and hens. Old wooden buildings, actually like a museum. The bar and restaurant is in the barn. Very cozy! Nice chat with the brewer and his wife. Two beers on tap at my visit, both very tasty and rather strong APA's with lots of fresh hops. Need to take a leak? There is an outhose nearby, only cold water to wash your hands. The water comes directly from lake Snåsavatnet. Electricity on the island comes from a diesel emergency power aggregate. The restaurant here is famous for the fish soup among local visitors. Very tasty and a large portion. This was for sure a visit worth spending some hours! (Visited July 25th 2020)“

“Located in an agricultural area a little walk from Snåsa town centre and rail station (The owners picked us up at the rail station). We were eight people staying here for a weekend. Down to earth experience, and the prices for the whole package was reasonably low. There's a single building that includes double rooms (three of them), a restaurant, living room and a bar. There's also some beds in a house just nearby. The couple running the place did everything to make us feel well the entire stay. They made breakfast and dinner by our choice. Five beers on tap and we got to taste other bottled beers during a beer tasting.“

“New rating: Visited again July 25th 2020, stayed for one night alone on my way back south. Again very good service! Top notch place to visit. Beers are still decent, but do not expect more than that. The brewer prefer plain and simple beer styles, not to strong in ABV. Easy to drink more than one, I had seven "pints" during this evening. My score is still the same. Old rating: I was looking forward to this visit. We had ordered a room with twin beds. Grana Bryggeri offers three rooms, in the same building as the pub. Heaven for beer tourists! 4 beers on tap, Pale Ale and Dry Stout were our favorites. Kölsch and Weissbier were decent. The host and brewer provided superb service. He made breakfast for us himself the next morning, eggs and bacon and homemade ham, served at the bar. The building is a solid timber cabin prefabricated in Belarus. On the walls there are hanging a skin from a big wolf and a giant boar head. A result of the brewers hunting trips to Belarus. He also met his wife in Belarus. (Fun fact) In all, a must visit in Trøndelag! Don´t drive past, here you have accomodation, beer and great hospitality. (Visited June 27th 2018 with Bjarte1)“
