“Visited on a Monday, 5 of their own beers were on tap, had their Weizzbier(!) and their Dip-Hop IPA. The beers were less than stellar for their styles, but the IPA was not bad. A Cream Ale, a Blonde Ale and an Apricot Sour + Lervig Pils were also on tap. The food I had (Fønix Snadder / biffsnadder) was overcooked and far from stellar.“

“Located inside the shopping mall Etne Senter, this is a fairly small Vinmonopolet store, the beer selection could with advantage be better. Still the best place to shop beers in Etne. One beer and one cider were the new ticks for me.“

“I visited this place at the end of the scary covid times. So their own selection was limited. I was lucky to meet the brewer. And he put one on at my visit. Ha also showed me around the brewery. Not really big at the moment. But they have an idea to expand a lot when all this shit is over. They had a lot of Lervig beer available. So it is no problem to get a proper beer here. Did not eat anything. So I can not tell you something about the food. Nice pation in the front you can relax with your beer and maybe something to eat when the sun is shining Apart from that. Etne is a sleepy village “

“Vinmonopolets kiosk i Etne, svært begrenset utvalg. Men hvis du allikevel må stoppe i Etne for å ta en kaffe eller rating på Fønix kan du jo slenge innom.“

“New rating: had a "The Classic Fønix Burger" and two beers, a full glass and a taster. Service was top notch. More Fønix beers available in the summer season. A place you have to visit if you happens to be in Etne. (Visited May 29th 2021) Old rating: 2.8=3,7,6,X,5,12.Hotel and brewpub just by the main road E134 that that runs through the village Etne. Nice outdoor seating in front and a spacious bar inside. This is indeed a microbrewery! A 50 litre Speidel Braumeister can hardly keep up with the demand for beer since Fugl Fønix is the most popular pub in Etne. Only one Fugl Fønix beer on tap: Red Ale, a rather dull and overpriced beer. Also Lervig Lucky Jack and Lervig Pilsner on tap.The owner told us that the next step was to increase capacity. I will for sure revisit if nearby. Hopefully there will be more beer on tap then. (Visited May 6th 2016 with Gunnar, Holmen1 and Holmen2)“

“This is actually a brewpub, they have just started brewing on the premises, equipment not visible from the large bar/dine seating area. 1 beer on tap at our short visit 6.5.16. Also 2 different beers from Lervig on tap. 20 bottles, Brewdog, Mikkeller amongst them. Patio for those sunny days. Informative and service minded personel, their red ale was good, though a bit on the pricy side. Well worth a visit if passing by, and a welcomed addition at the brewing scene.“

“Hyggelig at de har fått et mikrobryggeri i Etne, og det var grunnen til at vi stoppet her. Men med foreløpig svært liten kapasitet pr. brygg. Den hyggelige bryggeren (som også er eieren av hotellet) kunne fortelle at de har konkrete planer om å utvide kapasiteten, da etterspørselen er stor. Kun deres red ale var på fat denne dagen. Til kr. 109 for 0,33 er dette en betydelig overpris (på Ekspedisjonen, Lofthus betalte vi kr. 76 for 0,4 samme dag).“

“Tiny store in Etne Senter, shopping mall, about 20 beers at my visit 19.02.2016, better of visiting Ølen vinmonopol, better sekection and only a short distance towards Haugesund.“
