“KyotoLefty’s comments are pretty accurate. They also had a 1500 yen buffet when I was here. It tasted like..... A 1500 yen buffet. Beer was much better than expect and much better than samples I’ve had at beer festivals and in bottles. For 2500 yen for the all you can drink and eat is a great deal. Just be careful because you can order as many beers as you want at then end of your all you can drink. This was good as I didn’t miss any beers, but I also wanted to drink them at a reasonable temp and got bloated trying to drink my three last beers. As stated only really come here if you are in Kakunodate, but from that station ther is a free shuttle bus. I stayed the night - it’s part of a bigger hot spring, hotel art gallery thing. Even for accomodation it was fairly reasonable and make a good choice if you want to stay in the area.“

“Out of the way, but they pic you up at the train station. This is set in an art village with theater, hot springs resort, etc. Nice enough restaurant. Great deal of all-you-can-drink of 8 draught beers for an hour, ¥1050. A steal. Some very good beers, while their experimental ones can be a little tricky. Great place to go if you are ever in this neck of the woods.“
