“Stopped here after Death Valley, on our way to Kernville. I was really looking forward to beer after heat in DV. About 10 beers on tap, served in plastic (?) cups. Quality was below average. Was surprised there were several people inside enjoying beer even though it was afternoon. Not sure I’d stop if passing by again.“

“In the middle of the desert and looking out over China Lakes sits this brewery, its gift shop and restaurant. We stopped by on our way back from Death Valley National Park and after our side trip to Kern River Brewing Company (much better in my opinion). The tasting room and brewery doubles as a soda shop and candy store from days ago. They had 12 or so beers on tap and more in bottles. The soda is fairly gimmicky and the beer, average at best.“

“Well...went there to see if this place would be as bad as pretty much all the beers have been over the years. Gotta be better brewery fresh, right? Well...not really. the brewery fresh pale was still horrible. it’s smack in the middle of nowhere CA desert. help was disinterested at best. the sodas had a couple cool ones, but even the majority of those I’ve tried are crap.“

“Stumbled upon this place while driving out of Death Valley. Really in the middle of nowhere. They make a bunch of somewhat OK to truly awful beers, but have all 10 of them on tap all the time, and sampling them is cheap as shit (though beware of enormous pours and plastic cups). Perhaps more notably, this place makes some 100 different crazy sodas for places all over the state, from tasty varieties such as licorice and pumpkin pie all the way to outrageous (and appropriately disgusting) extremes including Ranch Dressing, Bacon, PB&J, and Buffalo Wing. At only $1 a bottle, you can’t go wrong. I’d go back for the soda, not the beer.“
