“I was looking forward to this stop; Therapist was an early favorite IPA of mine. Super huge space, gigantic really, lots of outdoor seating and gaming/playing. Plenty of indoor seating as well. Very busy on a Sunday. Flights available. I ordered two 8 oz pours that were served in plastic cups. Although I have had my share of good Dust Bowl beers, my choices today were mediocre and I was left disappointed. I did not try the food.“

“Awesome space, as in huge and really strikes you with a sense of awe, with a huge bar looking at the big brewhouse, seating looking at the packaging line and cellar, and roll-up garage doors that lead to a huge outdoor space with patio restaurant seating and even more hang out space. Service was decent, nothing spectacular, but lots of servers so training them all would be difficult. Selection was great, varied and all good to above average. Food was great, I believe it's the best restaurant in Turlock. Right off the highway, so definitely worth a stop if you're passing through of on your way to Cal State Stanislaus.“

“Nice big building off the freeway. Long bar that faces the brewery with digital boards of the beers on tap and a few tv’s. The place was busy for Wed night. The food looked and smelled good. Service was fast and friendly. Cooler of beers to go.“

“Wasn’t sure what to expect here. I had wanted to stop in previously, but they are closed on Sundays which is the day I had visited Dust Bowl on my last pass through Turlock. Oh well, this time it was reversed.

Sort of an unassuming location set back from the street a little bit right near kind of the downtown area, it would seem. I was one of the first people in near opening time, so really quick and efficient service.

Draft offerings were really solid with stuff from Fieldwork, Lengthwise, Altamont, and a number of other breweries from throughout CA and a few from other parts of the world. Looked like some pretty nice bottles, too. Beers are in the $6-7 range and they also do flights.

Had lunch, which consisted of a Cuban sandwich and fries, both of which were quite good.

Solid place overall. Seems like some good rotation on the beers. Who wouolda thought?“

“pretty standard place in the town where I went to college (way before they were here). I like the ambience of St Stan’s better, but the beer is better here. Solid, not great. Decent food and friendly service. Need more inside seating as it’s hot as hell here 6-8 months out of the year and the inside area is far too small. Drinking beer on a 106 degree patio complete with flies and ag smell is not fun.“

“After trying a number of their beers over the last couple years at bars around the Bay Area (okay, at Beer Revolution), it was nice to finally stop here.

Turlock is a pretty small town and this is in what amounts to pretty much two blocks it seems. The brewpub is actually much more than I was expecting...though I’m not really sure what it was that I was anticipating. They have a pretty nice patio out front and a good amount of table seating inside. Smallish bar. A lot of beers on tap, at least a dozen. I had tried a number of them before, so I opted for a couple taster flights to get the new ones.

I had enjoyed a number of their beers that I’d tried previously, though on this visit I though most of the beers were just above average...though nothing was horrendous or anything. I was disappointed by the double IPA, though.

I don’t know when I’ll be passing through this area next, but it’s definitely worth a stop and it seems like they make a lot of new stuff all the time.“

“First, this place is a beer lovers destination. So whether you are passing by on Highway 99 or whatever, this place is a must stop. The food is pretty good, albeit a little pricey for what you get. My favorite is the Cubano sandwich. They have a lunch menu, a brunch menu, dinner menu, unlimited mimosas on the weekends for brunch and a killer tap list and equally good bottle list. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, the place gets super busy on Fri/Sat nights. So whether you want great beer in a bottle, great beer on tap this place has you covered.“

“Visited July 19, 2014.

Finally made it in here. I think the last time I drove up 99 was when they first opened the brewery and at that time they didn’t have a tasting room. They also only made about 1 beer at a time and it was only available at the local Bevmo and a pizza place in town. Now they’re all over California and they have a new restaurant in downtown. Things have changed for sure. They do flights of five and of course pints. They’ll also do growlers of certain things. I went through the list and picked five that I hadn’t tried before. I got to try the new malt liquor, their new alt, and a few others like the DIPA and barleywine. I was very tempted by the caprese sandwich that the person next to me had as it smelled strong of the basil, but I decided to wait on food since I was going to meet my brother later. Service was slow but it’s a nice place and if I had business driving on 99 rather than 5 or 101 I’d definitely stop back in.“

“I can’t say enough about this place. Frank has passion and pride for what he has done endeavoring into this place. Located just off Highway 99 between Merced and Modesto, CA in a small agricultural town called Turlock, this establishment doesn’t agree with the lack of micro beer presence and proves it with their ever rotating tap. The atmosphere is cozy with a wood fire chimney and a full length bar inside what almost feels like a hunter’s den. Whether you get the beer, food, or even a mixed drink.. everything is handled by the family and close friends hired to ensure this place remains as comfortable as envisioned. As a dedicated customer, anytime I’m home I make my trip over here ecstatic to see what new beer Frank has on tap! If you’re reading this Frank.... I can’t thank you enough!! Keep doing great things!!!“
