72 /100 Cowboy Joe’s Liquor Barn (Beer Store) 524 FRONT ST EVANSTON, WY 82930 Large, open store with a lot of beer in coolers. We stopped by just to pick up some Wyoming beers, and we succeeded. Cashier was friendly. Not a whole lot else to mention. |
72 /100 Cowboy Joe’s Liquor Barn (Beer Store) 524 FRONT ST EVANSTON, WY 82930 A good selection of beers. Some singles and variety packs. Good service. I'll be back. |
74 /100 1012 MAIN STREET Located in the historic district, this place has a funky old timey feel, more hippy than cowboy, with the walls covered with photos and art work featuring iconic bands of the 60s and 70s. They only had four of their beers on draft - an IPA. It was pretty decent. Only a couple miles off I-80, this place is worth a stop |
26 /100 Discount Liquor Store (Beer Store) 111 NORTH 3RD STREET If this is the best that this town has to offer, this is pretty sad. Massive beer cooler, but it’s mostly macro piss. Just a few crafts available, loads from Avery, some from Upslope, Odell and other CO breweries. Very little WY selection. Not really a point coming here unless you are curious or staying here for the night and need some beers to go. |
68 /100 1012 MAIN STREET Rustic place in the centre of this small little town. We drove from SLC for a quick visit and quite enjoyed it. They only had 5 beers on tap when we visited, but they usually have more. Beer itself isn’t anything special, but competently made. All available in reasonably priced flights. We ordered a flatbread pizza for lunch, which was quite tasty. Super friendly service and very quick. Worth the stop when passing through, or if you feel like a beautiful 1h20min drive from SLC. |
68 /100 1012 MAIN STREET 18$ to get a growler and have filled seems a bit pricey, good food may have just been hungry. |
72 /100 Cowboy Joe’s Liquor Barn (Beer Store) 524 FRONT ST EVANSTON, WY 82930 Came here from UT for some microbrew variety. The staff is really friendly. The owner chatted with me for a while, he knows beer and made some recommendations that I appreciated. Selection was pretty good, considering Evanston is a small market. They carry micros from Odells, Alaskan, Lagunitas, Avery, Grand Teton, Green Flash, among others. |
72 /100 1012 MAIN STREET We were driving through on our way home to Indiana from Utah, and this spot had easy access from I-80. The service was good, although the staff wasn’t very knowledgeable about the beer. Apparently the brewer had been fired recently, and the beer was being shipped in from their Colorado location.. We had an appetizer with a beer sampler. The food was good, better than the beer, which was fair to middling. But, seriously, considering the middle of almost nowhere, if I were a local, this would be my watering hole. |
80 /100 1012 MAIN STREET You come out of the mountains and what do you see but Suds Brothers Brewing. Evanston is not the greatest place int he world but they got beer. Suds is a great little brewery 3bbl system with some pretty nice brews. Must go in during happy hour 4-6pm the brews are 2 buck a pint. Damn that was perfect for me, Great Porter and IPA. I am glad I stopped. Decent bar food and they have quite the large area this place must get packed during night times. |
66 /100 1012 MAIN STREET this joint reminded me of a converted brothel???... very cool reclaimed wood building in downtown. open kitchen, brewing equipment and bathrooms? seven beers on tap. attentive service (though it was midday and very laid back) but very mediocre grub. |
54 /100 Discount Liquor Store (Beer Store) 111 NORTH 3RD STREET Liquor store just off I80 in Evanston. Decent selection, but not great. Mostly regional beers. Snake River, Odells, Rogue, Alaskan, New Belgian and Grand Teton. They had a nice selection of Boulevard beers.
Worth the stop if you going through. or your from Utah. |
66 /100 1012 MAIN STREET In downtown Evanston. They had 8 beers on tap along with a full bar. The bar itself only had about 6 chairs, but there is tables nearby. Kind of a western feel, minimally decorated. The staff if friendly. I’ll be back. |
52 /100 Discount Liquor Store (Beer Store) 111 NORTH 3RD STREET A big old liquor store just off the highway. A huge selection of liquor and a good bit of beer. A ton of macros, but also Snake River, Odell, Boulder, Fort Collins, Rogue, Alaskan and others. Good prices and some things I can’t get in Utah for some reason. |
64 /100 1012 MAIN STREET I don’t know how I forgot to enter this. A cool local watering hole right in downtown Evanston. A nice and basic pub grub and a busy afternoon atmosphere. A sort of Western hippie feel, very relaxed. Bags of malt lying around. Six beers on tap, all decent. A cool place all around, I’ll try to head here every few months. |
50 /100 Discount Liquor Store (Beer Store) 111 NORTH 3RD STREET Easy to find from the freeway, near a number of gas stations and food places. Lacks singles other than AB/Coors/Miller, but has some bombers of Rogue stuff, six packs of Deschutes, Boulder and Fort Collins. Pretty much what you would expect in Evanston. |
60 /100 1012 MAIN STREET Same building as the now-defunct Bear River Brewing, Suds Brothers
opened in July 2007, a couple of years after the Bear River owner
passed away. The front of the building was renovated, and it actually
resembles a brewpub these days, unlike the previous brewery. Standard food - burgers, pizza, sandwiches, etc.
Beer selection was porter, pale ale, hefeweizen, orange blossom wit,
nut brown and a Belgian strong ale , which was running out as I was there. Beer
quality an improvement over the previous brewery located in town, and
the waitresses were smoking hot. |
76 /100 Discount Liquor Store (Beer Store) 111 NORTH 3RD STREET The phone number I entered needs editing. This is a nice place and I wouldn’t be surprised to find the owners of Liquor Depot are involved here. Some great things to be found here that aren’t in Rock Springs: saw the Rogue Yellow Snow minikegs but not the bombers found more Teton and Snake River offerings here Rogue selection a bit beefier, Fort Collins offering a bit smaller. Can get the Teton 20th Double Wheat for $6 cheaper than on the west coast, so that is amusing. All in all the effort has made this a nice little beer outpost and a nice last stop before crossing into Utah. |
