“This brewery is quite hard to find.. It's on the left just as you come out of Tintern, up a farm track. They have a small tasting room and quite a range of there bottled beers available. Worth a visit if you visiting Tintern abbey or even like me passing though South Wales.“

“After taking a look at Tintern Abbey we had to look for dry place since there was a drain pour outside. It was about lunch time so we went to the Royal George or to be more precise Wild Hare which functions like a gastro pub or a restaurant inside a hotel. Modern classic interior, very neat and clean with working fireplace. 4 cask beer - 2 Wye Valley and one local from Tintern, which somehow wasn't in its best shape. Both burgers as well as the bangers&mash were very good if not excellent. So not a destination for beer drinking, but a good lunch destination with some local beers. If that's what you're looking for do visit.“

“Right next to the Abbey this is a great location. Good beer from the Wye Valley brewery and others, well kept with knowledgeable staff. Food available, café, pub or restaurant style.“

“Visited this place a few yearsago when it had a massive selection of Welsh bottled beers for sale. Now its just the Kingstone Brewery range which is very useful if you want to try their bottled beers which are quite pleasant. When i visited on a saturday lunchtime the lights where all off which wasn’t very welcoming. The head brewer was there as well -a pleasant and friendly man.If you are in the area, which is very pleasant its worth a visit but dont make a special trip.“

“A little hard to find just outside the village of Tintern. Coming from Monmouth it is up a country lane on the right just after the Old Railway Museum. The brewery is small, more like an extravagant garden shed. This is the best place to get all Kingstone beers. They can be hard to find. The shop at the brewery is very well presented. Not only can you get the beers here but some local produce, chutneys and fine cheeses. Worth a stop if visiting the area, staff are very friendly and just may show you the brewery.“
