“Old rating from my enjoyable visit in 2014, Otley's Sakura on tap.“

“2018-02-26. Super cozy village pub, tables, we took the two couches by the big wood stove. The sunny next room has more tables and a library like booth with books and games. About 10 casks and 5 taps. The menu looked tasty but they were not serving food until later in the day unfortunately. Two men chatting about rugby at the bar, and a beautiful chocolate lab dog who makes a brief visit add some pleasant local character. Beer list offers a variety of options. Most of the ones we sampled were decent but not particularly exciting. Nice spot, worth a stop if you are nearby.“

“Comes across as very much food orientated, far more than the beer, although that certainly isn’t neglected. Good selection of Otley’s own offerings.“

“A bit rrstauranty for my tastesm but the selection of Otley beers more than makes up for it.“

“Visited on 16/5/10. Everything Gazza mentioned remains true about this pub, which is a friendly place that does excellent food. A festival of 18 Otley beers was coming to an end on the day of my visit, which had made use of a second temporary bar to allow 12 to be served at any one time. The O2 and Dark 8 beer sampled were excellent. Also serves Welsh cider and perry on hand pump. An excellent pub to visit.“

“Another "Otley" pub, the closest to the brewery, this well-run pub sells at least two Otley beers on cask (plus guest beers) as well as all available ones in bottle. It also has a decent stock of foreign bottled beers although don’t expect anything too rare or interesting which might scare the locals. Overall a great little pub with excellent food (locally renowned) and only a five-minute walk from Pontypridd town centre via the A470 roundabout. Call in at the Llanover arms on the way to experience a classic Valley’s pub with a decent cask ale range including a guest ale.“
