“Off the A541 which at this point runs parallel to the main A55, it’s not the easiest of places to get too so be careful to follow the signs carefully if you are driving to this village. There’s not too many houses here but it’s fairly well visited and rightly so given its a lovely country pub, despite not being too big inside. There’s enough decent real ale choices to warrant a visit if you’re nearby though. It’s best to approach and leave from the south or east, as the road to the west of the pub that leads downhill from it is a real adventure, and you wouldn’t want to meet another vehicle on this track.“

“18th century pub in the village of Ysceifiog. 4 real ales on offer (3 from Thwaites and 1 from Hafod). Interior is listed on CAMRA’s national inventory. Worth a visit.“
