“A modern set-up where, upon entry, you are welcomed by the bar with a well presented menu on the wall and a row of sixteen taps all pouring their own brews. Brews include core, seasonal and specials. There is indoor seating with views of the brewing vessels and a rear outdoor garden setting. Staff were welcoming, friendly and knowledgeable. A number of glass sizes on offer (125ml, 200ml, 400ml) as well as fights and growlers, all competitively priced. Well worth a visit.“

“A mountain-style wooden clad pub close to Kicking Horse River with six taps. Craft beers from Fernie, Mt Begbie and Whitetooth plus a guest (on day of visit from Steamworks). Inside is dark pub-style lighting with a bar, booths and table while there is a patio out front and out back (both outdoor areas have four tables). Good friendly service. Prices are competitive serving in 12oz mug (listed at $6.50), 16oz pint ($7.50) and 60oz jug ($22.25). There is non-beer (cocktails, warmers) plus meals (snacks, salads, burgers, wraps, mains). Nice outdoors on a warm/sunny day.“

“Big tasting room, set in the brewery, not far from the confluence of the Kicking Horse and Columbia Rivers. I mean, Golden is a pretty small town, right. Quite a few seasonals, but I wasn't knocked out by much. The taps don't seem to change a ton, but a ticker wouldn't live in Golden anyway. So when you're passing through, stop and grab something new, or two.“

“Post-Covid days, a nice big patio on the north side of their property. There's take-away on the opposite end and the hours aren't bad. Service was fast straight to the table, flights of four in semi-wine glasses available for a mostly reasonable price. Not much in the way of food - they were pairing with a burrito place downtown (okay, a few hundred feet away) but they weren't open on a Sunday due to staff shortages. Welcome to 2021 anyway. Beers were generally quite good, high quality and definitely worth trying. If passing through this area, it's absolutely worth booking a campsite or hotel for the evening and making a stop.“

“Currently the last town off Hwy 1 in BC with a brewery before entering Alberta, and it's a good one. Modern tasting room, designed very tastefully. 10 or so beers on tap, with a decent range of styles. Flights of 4 available for a reasonable price. Beer quality was impressive -- they nailed a saison (a la Saison Dupont), and some other hard-to-impress styles (a wit and spiced rye beer). Super friendly service. Worth making a point to stop here if passing by.“

“A big warehouse with a small tasting room and a nice patio. Service was pleasant and solid. 8-12 beers, many tasting room only and quite variable in quality. Prices are solid, tasters and flights available.“

“6 taps at 5.75 pints. Total mountain town wooden pub vibe with pool table. Go to the bar for the generous samples. Only Kootney beers on tap (kudos for that). Friendly. They had seasonals. Unless you only drink Kootney beers you should be happy. Fernie, Nelson Mt Begbie were represented when I was there but I am sure they will have Whitetooth when it opens this year. “
