70 /100 Gus O’Connors Pub (Bar) FISHER STREET Visited for the music. Place was crowded even before the music started so we had a chance to eat and chat over a pint or two. Loved the sign that said no smoking or children after 9:30. Made some new American friends who then continued with me on my journey for a few days. Music was great, atmosphere superb. Worth exploring this atmospheric town, glad we stayed overnight rather than doing a drive-by. |
70 /100 Gus O’Connors Pub (Bar) FISHER STREET Visited for lunch after seeing the nearby Cliffs of Moher. Located in Doolin, which is neat little Irish town renowned for its music. There are outdoor tables to sit at outside, as well as across the street. The interior is pretty much what an idealized Irish Pub would look like. Tons of small areas and tables to sit at. Food and drinks are ordered at the bar, and if you are ordering food note your table number. Beer selection was fairly limited, though the Murphy’s I had was fresh and tasty. I enjoyed the vibe of the place. (If you are visiting the area, worth a visit) I only use the total score, not the component parts. |
68 /100 Gus O’Connors Pub (Bar) FISHER STREET great location, not a great service, the publican is not kind live other in ireland.
the standard irish menu, but the food is quite well.
the beers seletion is the sad irish standard with heineken carlsberg, guinnes...but hovewer it worth a visit. |
90 /100 Gus O’Connors Pub (Bar) FISHER STREET Hey, when you’re in Ireland, what ye be drinking anything other than Guinness for anyway. Wonderful place-food, music brew. |
