78 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC Awesome cozy pub on the Dingle peninsula. I happened to notice this place while running the Dingle Marathon, then went back to it the next day. It's a bit of a drive from Dingle, but beautiful views. The pub is very cozy, small, no TVs. It was completely empty when we got there, not sure the owner was even expecting any customers! They had around 5-6 of the West Kerry beers on tap, which were quite good. Not sure if they have food. Anyway, a really cool authentic rural Irish pub. |
84 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC A small wayside old style country pub with indoor and outdoor seating and an open fire for winter warmth. The lady brewer is very friendly and welcoming and is willing to spend time discussing the range of beers as well as Irish beer industry issues. There are seven taps (five of their core and two majors), one cask and one cider and many of the range are available in bottles. The core range is also supplemented with rotating seasonals. All of the beers are brewed right next door using water sourced from their own well. Well worth a visit when on the Dingle Peninsular. |
78 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC Stopped here while hiking the Dinge Way around the Peninsula. Asked for a flight and got to try all their beers available, which were 5 including one handpumped cask ale. Solid beer quality. Lovely Pub atmosphere. As it was only 1pm when I visited there was only one American couple with us (thanks for paying my beers!!). So the bartender, an Aussie, even let me decide which Vinyl should be played. So I enjoyed good beers, listening to The Clash while sitting in a Pub at Irelands west coast. |
74 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC This is hard to get to, but very, Very, VERY nice place. They make lager, ale & porter - all of outstanding quality & taste. The place itself is just wonderful - traditional Irish village pub - 100% non-tourist. It’s just perfect! One of the best place in Ireland!))) |
70 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC Had just bicycled 30 kms from Dingle when I arrived here. Cool pub. They only serve food at lunch. When I was here they only had one of their own ales on tap, though it was great one. These people make great beers, just wish there was more of a selection. Still worth checking out if you’re in the area. |
76 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC great spot |
62 /100 SLEA HEAD DRIVE, AN RIASC September 2009 - If you ever find yourself tooling around the rural Dingle Peninsula in western Ireland, this cozy pub and B&B is in a convenient mid-route stopping point, smack dab in the middle of some of the most beautiful countryside of Ireland. In addition to a decent draft selection, they also happen to make some cask conditioned ales. |
