68 /100 CASTLE LESLIE LODGE
“Hotel bar / diner in the Lodge complex of Castle Leslie, visited for the night during my mums 80th birthday celebrations. Well appointed hotel bar on split levels with lots of old nick-nacks, the tables are all glass topped on the upper level containing vintage cutlery. A great range of craft beer as it goes for a hotel bar. 3 taps, rebadged as 'Castle Leslie Estate' which are Rye River (McGargles) re-badges. In the fridge were a few varied offerings, a couple of ciders from Longmeadow and bottles from a couple of craft brewers including a wax sealed BA stout from Brehon. Service prompt and friendly ... pretty quiet at 2200 on a Monday night out of season. Overall a great win to pick up 4 new ticks in a hotel bar. I also noticed a tap for Castle Leslie Estate Stout (another Rye River re-badge), whilst taking a tour of the castle and wandering past a bar in there the following day.“
