“On a tidal river in the Bay of Fundy, the river is visible from the back deck. Plenty of parking, enter the store and turn left then go upstairs. Only two outdoor tables have umbrellas but they view from the inside tables is pretty good too. There are four or five semi covered tables at ground level but they're treated as take-away locations - just order at the serving bar upstairs. They were out of several beers but the ones I did have were fine. Flights of four possible. Food has small portions but is tasty enough pub grub. Staff seemed a bit harried. An OK stop.“

“I really enjoyed my visit to this brewpub and highly recommend it. It has a very nice facility located on the river with some fine views, especially from the patio (if open). The beers were all good or better and offered good variety for limited (6 taps?) selection. Very good to excellent food that is attractively served with pride. Plenty of parking. There’s a beer store around back that sells growlers and canned 6 packs.“

“Great little spot right on a tidal river. The Ambiance is a little confused between the pub/fine dining rooms with surreal artwork all over the walls. The service was top notch. The selection seemed to consist solely of what’s brewed on site which is what you’d expect really. We all had the 1/2 lb burger from local grass fed cattle and it was fantastic. One of the best burgers I’ve ever had. Two pints of beer and a full meal for thirty bucks including a fair tip. Definitely worth the stop if you’re in the neighborhood but nothing all that special.“

“A nice restaurant setting facing the Cornwallis River, experiencing the tide rising while eating. Good service. The food is good, had the Lobster Benedict. The brewer came to chat with me and explained that all hops used are home grown. Sampler is 5 samples for 4.43$CAN. Good and honest beers, especially the ESB and Mojo Rojo.“

“Checked out with Gethinbeer and our ladies. Gorgeous, modern pub that still manages to retain a homey feel. The patio opens onto a fantastic view of the adjacent river and farmlands. Lovely menu with many carefully crafted choices. Solid cocktails as well, which is fairly unusual for a brewpub. The ambiance in here is great. It would work for a quiet dinner for two, but a boisterous group would be equally at home. The house brews are well crafted and the ESB is quite a standout. A place that I highly recommend.“

“Visited on a fairly busy Saturday night in November, the service was friendly and polite and knows what’s going on about the beer. The building itself is large and thoughtfully planned as it and it’s patio overlooks the river while inside there is a fireplace in the corner and a big flat screen showing sports highlights; Low lighting and mild rock music set the tone. We had the Pulled Pork Pile Up and a side of Lobster, both tasty and delicious. The pub had 5 of their own brews on tap, all fairly average but enjoyable on location.“

“New, clean tidy place. Restaurant feel. The service was good. The beer selection was also good. More importantly the beers are brilliantly crafted quality ales. Four regular beers and two special ales that seem to change every month, all from Sea Level brewing. The food was good pub grub, nothing spectacular but enjoyable. value seemed reasonable. $6 for a pint. Overall a tidy place. Looked like they had a nice patio, beer garden out the back looking onto the river. Its was -7 and snowing so I stayed in doors. Not the most comfortable place to go if you just wanted to drink due to the ambience of the place, but sat out on that patio in the summer would be fantastic. The pale would go down very well I imagine. I will be returning and would definitely recommend a visit.“

“2008-11-01. Sleek pub bistro is cozy yet sophisticated. Area seems sort of industrial, at least when arriving at night but has a nice view of the river. Patio will be nice in warmer weather. We both order the pulled pork which is pretty decent but could arrive on a more interesting bun. Mabels side order of lobster is expensive for the small quantity, and slightly overcooked, but tasty and a fun option nonetheless. Service is friendly and the right balance of available without being pushy on a busy weekend evening. Beer is all at least average or better, but none blow me away. Prices are quite reasonable. Would definitely return.“

“You know when everything just falls into place? When the taxi driver taking you here from Wolfville acts like he knows you? When the hostess is kind and without having to ask seats you at the VIP table? You know, the one that sits a little apart from the rest of the outdoor patio, on the edge of a garden that overlooks a river and its attendant rolling hills? When the beers arrive quickly, and are as fresh as bread out of the oven? When the food actually tastes as good as it sounds? When the simple but well-executed dishes are made much as possible from local, ethical, organic sources? Yeah, this is one of those places. A dream come true.“

“Kick ass location with a sweeping vista of the Annapolis Valley, with Wolfville in the background. Gorgeous. The food has a strong local focus and is very well executed. The beers are extremely fresh, the service professional and quite frankly you would pay double in the city for the same quality of experience. I love this place. It’s the gastropub I’ve been waiting my entire life for.“

“Charming new spot on the Cornwallis River just a little outside Wolfville and Kentville. Sea Level Brewing is part of the establishment and their beers are served there. Beers are decent although not all were available on my visit. Menu is large and tends towards upscale pub fare (quite tasty), Large patio backing onto the River is nice in the summer. Service was friendly and reasonably quick. Worth a visit - I will be returning next time I’m out east.“
