58 /100 LCBO (Beer Store) 757, RUE NOTRE-DAME Nice suburb LCBO, mainly mainstream beers, no crafts, good vintage wine selection. |
70 /100 189 RUE BAY Stopped by on a Friday afternoon enroute from Valleyfield to Ottawa, this was a perfect stop. Brewer Nicholas was mashing out but made time to show me around and pour me a beer. You enter the brewhouse, a 15 barrel setup in a fairly small space. Next is a swag shop, the a serving bar with a few tables. Outside the back door there are a few picnic tables, a Covid add-on. The beers are tasty enough, and the friendliness of the staff made for a very welcoming experience. |
58 /100 189 RUE BAY Stopped here on way back to Ottawa. This brewery is located in an industrial sector of Embrun. Nice set up with brewery on one side, and tap room on the other. Seating area is basically 3 picnic tables. Service was friendly, and it was nice to be served in French (this is franco-ontarian country) with holiday trad music playing! Flight of 4 for 8$. Beers were well done but pedestrian, mainly lagers and ales (blondes, ambers, browns) ...very 1990s. Overall, a quick pit stop (a bit of a detour) from YUL to YOW. |
48 /100 189 RUE BAY Went there with friends, small place, tried the 6 beers in samplers. A bit disappointing. |
56 /100 189 RUE BAY Small industrial tap room not really comfortable to sit and enjoy a can/tap. Service was great, dude was really nice gave me a tour of the brewery. |
