Please has not changed, old and a bit decrepit, in old house on des Forges. Middle bar surrounded by table (not much distanciation). Plenty of parking on their lot.
Beers were good, nothing wow. Food menu was more gastropub and poutine, but did not eat.

Very nice place in old 3R (parking may be an issue depending on time of day, but there are payed lots in walking distance).
Place is old Victorian style, part coffee shop, part brewpub. Beers are solid and sold in taster size of 3$ (or flights). Food was solid and plentiful. Had the BLT sandwich (Frittata, hash brown, bacon, cheddar) which was huge.

The taproom, which opens up with a garage door, is smallish, wiith 3 tables, and long bar. Beers are solid, most being fairly straight styles. They do good IPAs, and the sour was nice. Cans and occasional bottle on sale. Bring your own food.“ |

Le haut plafond le rend toutefois un peu froid. Les tireuses situées presque au milieu de la place rendent l'endroit atypique. Les bières proposées couvrent beaucoup de styles différents. Les cafés torréfiés sur place est un bon plus. La bouffe a l'air sympa en plus d'être originale. Bonne surprise.“ |

Nice upscale place, good indoor seating and a huge outdoor covered patio. Beers are supplied by Le Trou du Diable, so they have some normally brew-pub exclusives. TDD is also the importer for Cantillon in Quebec so you might get some on tap at this location. The food is quite good if a tad pricey, really good quality though. Service was hand picked, the waiting staff was generally well informed about their beer options. Definitely a top notch place, especially for a somewhat boring town beer-wise. Gratz!“ |

Downtown Trois-Rivières and only a few hundred meters from Le Temps d’une Pinte. Classy pub with a good sized interior and a large outdoor terrace. The place was rather full for a Wednesday night but we had a reservation so no problem to get a table. Even though it was crowded, the service was quick. If I have to complain about something, it would be that there was way too many different people for the service, but we had to change place two times because of the rain so this might explain that. The beer aspect of the service was really good and the guy in charge, Sam, knows his stuff. Selection is really neat with almost all the taps being Trou du Diable beers but there was also Cantillon Gueuze bio on tap (5 oz) when we visited... not bad at all for Trois-Rivières. There’s also a few bottles available including the delicious Isastegi Basque Cider (we were lucky and got a free glass of it thanks to Sam). Food was pretty interesting. The Fish & Chips we had was really good, as was the deer tataki. Prices are on the high end for pub food but quality is there. Beer prices are normal for the area. The place in only a few weeks old and it’s already the top beer destination in Trois-Rivières along Le Temps d’une Pinte. I will be back for sure.“ |

La dernière fois que j’y ai mis les pieds, un chansonnier y était et à la fin de son spectacle, la place s’est vidée comme si on avait annoncé une alerte à la bombe dans les toilettes. C’est ambiance resto-pub à l’intérieur avec une terrasse clôturée plus paisible et relaxe avec foyers au propane et bancs coussinés. Sans surprise, ce sont les bières de l’Archibald qui sont au menu. Donc des bières d’entrée de gamme de tous les styles. La nourriture est très bien, on n’est pas dans la haute gastronomie mais on peut y prendre un bon souper sans problème. Fortement conseillé de réserver. Le genre d’endroit qui manquait à Trois-Rivières. Sa situation géographique est un avantage et un désavantage. Grand stationnement, pas obligé d’aller au centre-ville mais tranquille en fin de soirée.“ |
| 72 /100 363, RUE DES FORGES “Pub irlandais moderne et un peu étroit. Difficile d’y trouver une place les vendredis et samedis soir. Oubliez le projet si vous êtes quatre ou plus. Très prisé des 5 à 7. Musique un peu forte. Malgré tout, c’est un très bel endroit quand on réussi à s’y installer. On a droit à une sélection mélangeant bières artisanales et importées, dont la plupart sont disponibles à la SAQ. Et pub irlandais rime avec whisky, donc une panoplie de scotchs et whiskys allant du Canadian Club au Highland Park 18 ans. Les bières en bouteilles sont très chères, parfois le triple du prix en magasin, ce qui fait que quand j’y vais, je me ramasse souvent avec une pinte de St-Ambroise. Mais on peut tomber sur un brassin spécial du Trou du Diable par exemple qui n’est plus vendu nulle part. Le service est bien, la nourriture se limite à de petites entrées, salades, sandwichs... Beau spot pour les touristes et/ou une alternative au Le Temps d’une Pinte.“ |

L’endroit est rarement bondé, sauf lors de spectacles donc on peut facilement y trouver une place. Une terrasse est aménagée mais un peu bruyante car au coin d’un boulevard. Le service est correct même si des fois un employé de plus ne serait pas de trop. On y retrouve en tout temps huit bières en fûts de la place, dont plusieurs semblent y être depuis des années ainsi que les produits Boréale entre autres. Prix un peu élevés considérant la qualité qui n’a jamais propulsée le Gambrinus parmis les incontournables. La nourriture est bien, rien d’extraordinaire mais fait le boulot. La poutine à la bière est un classique. Les heures de fermetures en font un endroit pour commencer une soirée pour la finir ailleurs. Une belle place si on a le goût d’une bière sans aller au centre-ville. Sinon, celui-ci est à 5 minutes.“ |

On est passé d’un endroit aux tables pêle-mêle, à l’éclairage douteux et aux serveuses qui ne savaient pas ce qu’était une scotch ale à un endroit plus conviviale et à des employés réguliers qui sont capable de bien expliqué leurs bières et profils de goût. Le service est rapide si on est au bar mais les tables sont souvent plus lentes à être servies. Le menu de bières comprend bien entendu les produits du brasseurs ainsi que deux ou trois bières invitées. On peut demander une carte qui montre les quelques produits d’importations privés disponibles. C’est souvent un choix de 4 ou 5 produits mais on peut tomber sur des trucs très intéressants. La bouffe est excellente et originale, quoique chère et manquant d’accompagnements. La terrasse à l’arrière est superbe et intime, parfaite pour les 5 à 7. Un endroit qui était plus que bienvenu dans le centre-ville de Trois-Rivières.“ |

Ce n’est plus cas aujourd’hui mais reste qu’on y retrouve des trucs que la Barik n’a pas (pas toujours les meilleurs non plus). C’est l’endroit où je vais pour acheter rapidement avant une soirée et sauver quelques dollars comparé à la Barik. Ils ont rarement des exclusivités aussi (Dunham des fois). Il n’y a pas de conseiller même si les employés sur place peuvent répondre à des questions plutôt de base. Par expérience, je recommande de vérifier les dates sur les bouteilles s’il y en a une. Certaines d’entres elles ont soufflé leur première bougie et 85% des bières ne sont pas au frigo.“ |

Les prix sont plus élevés qu’ailleurs, mais sans exagération non plus.“ |

Selections is decent with always a good number of their own beers, wich are generally good, sometimes more. Good choice of guest beers. Food is really nice (excellent), but way too expensive, to my great dismay ( I don’t consider myself very cheap, and looking at the menu, I could not find a way to eat something decent at a decent price. Yes, you have lots of options to choose from, let’s say for a special occasion, but this would not do it outside from that). We’re not in New York; This has to be said. Value on beer is totally fair. Overall: A nice place with good beer and food. A must in Trois-Rivières, and a good pit stop on highway 40 between QC and Montreal.“ |

If I remember correctly, the second floor can accomodate a large group. Great atmosphere, art pieces along the walls, good music, I recall a lot of Sonic Youth playing that night. Quick and friendly service. Selection consists of eight taps of unadventurous beers that will please the general public, regulars and the college kids. A perfect spot if you want to stay away from the downtown crowd.“ |

Service was very fast and kind, basic beer knowledge. This brewpub chain has a limited selection of beers that are all average, mostly a bit bland. The food is actually not bad, pub food with some nicer menu choices (grilled tuna, mussels, tartars). The ambiance can be good when it isn’t very full of middle-aged divorcess, they have a sort of luxury hunting lodge vibe inside but for some reason it seems to attract every 35 something single from a hundred miles around and it becomes a dating attraction that isn’t exactly a beer geek experience. Better places to go in Trois-Rivières (let me know if you’re in town) but this will cut it if you have a lot of time.“ |

Ambiance: I like to go early when it’s not too crowded. There’s plenty of seating and a few tables a bit out of the action which is great for having a discussion without having to yell (or for ticking peacefully). It can get really crowded when there’s a show. Service: It’s usually good. Smiling, not too slow and they know the basics about their beers. When there’s a show, service can be painfully slow. Selection: Most of the time, the selection consist of eight of their own beers. Quality is "ok", but often not enough for the heavy price tag. Food: Simple, but always tasty pub food. Value: Everything is a bit expensive here, especially the beer by the glass or the pint. It’s often better to order a small pitcher. Overall: A decent pub that I like to visit from time to time, but Le Temps d’une Pinte is now a much better option when it comes to the best brewpub in town (at least for the beers and the price of the beers). “ |

The place itself has a industrial feel to it, with tools as tap handles. A lot of space in side and the patio is almost as big. At the entrance, it’s a coffee shop (coffee grains and stuff). Not a lot of places to sit, there is a small section were you can sit in front of the kitchen, the bar it self is in the back. Not bad tap selection, three of their own (that was not on the database) and mostly regional beers. I’ve tried their Czech pilsner and dry stout, they were nice and simple. I did not eat there, but what I saw seems limited. They have some snack and four items on the menu above the kitchen, all above 25$, but it could be good. Staff was nice. A cool place to go!“ |

Service was friendly, but made a couple of mistakes (wrong beer size, wrong food) and didn’t looked very knowledgeable about beer. Selection consisted in 2 house bers and 6 guests. Their house beer were decent/good and there was some nice guess beers like Trou du Diable Saison du Tongka and Pitoune. I had a croque-monsieur, which was good, but a tad pricey for the quantity. Price of the beer was good. Overall, this is a nice place and a really good addition to the Trois-Rivières beer scene. With a few minor tweaks and a larger beer menu (which will come for sure, they are just starting), it will be very interesting.“ |

La sélection est interressante mais pas complete. C’est un très bon magasin mais il reste que c’est un dépaneur, l’avantage est que les heure d’ouverture sont très étallées. Par contre, Il ne faut pas s’attendre a avoir un service exeptionnel et une connaissance a tout casser.“ |

A good cream ale, brown ale, stout, blond, a Scottish brown, the ipa we would call a pale ale in the states, given the hop orgy the brewers have been on there for years. Really nice job. Very nice staff. Food was pretty good as well.“ |
