“Visited 16/7/2019. Lovely setting, really nice people, popular tours. Not much selection (and it’s not just about the beers here) but best place to get the brewers beers so definitely worth a visit if you want some. Good value too.“

“Visited around lunchtime on Good Friday, 30th March 2018. Brewery shop in a barn like building about a 15 minute drive from the Rebellion brewery shop in Little Marlow. On my visit there were 6 of their own beers available priced between £2.95 and £3.25 (the English Strong in the stone flagon was £4.50). As well as beer they have a mead plus 4 or 5 of their own wines and a few ciders from Somerset. You could get tasters of the wines and mead and we picked a bottle of their pinot noir and one of their whites. Also a number of liqeurs and vodkas were available but we didn't plough this path, throw in some local food stuffs, honey, snacks etc etc and you have a typical small time farm shop. Service was friendly and tasters were generous. Worth dropping buy if in the area as you don't tend to see these beers much elsewhere. “

“This is a two part review. Firstly I came here for a wedding, knowing nothing about the venue. So it was a nice surprise to find that the venue was serving its own bottles beers, plus a golden ale from Lovibonds on tap. Much better than most wedding offerings. The food was also really nice. The next morning I got a lift back to pick up my car. Visited the shop and it was quant enough. Bought a couple of the beers and some liquers. Out of the way unless you really want to try their beer or wine Or come to a wedding!“

“As chriso says, this is just the brewery (and vineyard) shop, stocking only their own products. Not only are these beers hard to find, so is the shop - make sure you check out the directions on their website before attempting to find it!“

“This place is just the brewery shop. It started out as a vineyard but added a brewery in 1990. It is in a scenic countryside location. Due to the vagaries of the UK postal system, its post town is Henley (which is in Oxfordshire), which is within the Reading RG postal region (which is in berkshire). But Old Luxters itself, and the pictresque village of Hambleden (with countless film/TV location credits), are actually in Buckinghamshire. The brewery and vineyard are located in old farm buildings. The shop just sells Old Luxters beers, Chiltern Valley wines and other food products (but no other beer). But the Old Luxters beers are not easy to find elsewhere, so a visit is worthwhile. There’s no tasting room as such but there are always two casks you can buy from to take away that you can taste. Don’t bother trying to buy the beers that they brew for Fortnum & Masons or the Royal Winsdsor Farm shops - they are "for display only". Brewery & vineyard tours are "by arrangement" but the brewery is right in the shop (or vice versa) so you can have a look round if you want. Friendly and helpful guy serving. May have been the owner.“

78 /100 HAMBLEDEN VILLAGE
“Lovely little country pub in the small village of Hambleden, just into Buckinghamshire and close to Oxfordshire and Henley on Thames. Next to the pub is a free public car park and behind the pub is a large village green, unfortunately not visible from the beer garden. Entry to the pub is by one of two doors at the front, one into the public bar, largest of the bars but still small, and next to it is the absolutely tiny snug which has only room enough for a few stalls but has the full bank of hand pumps in it, through the snug you pass the other front entrance, a separate restaurant and then at the rear by the garden is a small saloon bar. The seating in the beer garden is picnic table style, with umbrellas in some of the tables, the garden is nice enough but feels quite enclosed by the fences. There is a serving hatch for the garden.. Beers on offer when I recently visited were Rebellion IPA & Wadworth 6X (regulars), with guests including Loddon Hoppit and Orkey Raven Ale, amongst others. Ciders were Thatchers Premium Press Dry (handpump) and Thatchers Gold (keg). In the Good Beer Guide for who knows how long, the beer quality is top notch and they have a good selection of guests. The Old Luxters brewery and shop, which I cannot really recommend, is around a mile away and it is in close proximity to other great pubs and Henley, making it all the more attractive to visit.“
