80 /100 UNIT 2 CONVENT DRIVE Open only occasionally in the winter, we were happy to spot the opening on Instagram, as well as the release of a new sour beer. In a light industrial part of this small town north of Cambridge proper. Food truck with smash burgers. Picnic tables outdoors and indoors with a small serving bar and a cooler full of bottles and cans. Father and son both covering the bar and they still had time to show us around the brewery. One clean style on offer for the lager drinkers and the rest were Berliners and sours, one of which was barrel aged. Tasty stuff, decent location, freindly people. |
54 /100 Sun Inn (Bar) 7 CHAPEL STREET Decent two-bar Punch pub in this pleasant village between Cambridge and Ely. Limited choice, but beers are very well looked after, and occasional beer festivals are held. No music but Sky Sports tends to dominate the public bar. The unassuming yet solid pub that every village needs. And you may even get a tick (probably not two though). |
