“They really don’t have much, just a few random microbrews, DFH, some germans, very small section. For college students, Villa around the corner is much better“

“rare gems are found here cause they only sell 30’s of stones. Watch the experation dates though.“

“Massive selection. The best in town except you might find it a little pricy for some things. 6-packs can be broken up no problems. Plenty of rare goodies to be had.“

“Not a bad selection, a few outrageously rare and outrageously prices bottles with pride of place in a glass cabinet. Unfortunately the majority of beers are available only in 6-packs. The staff were super friendly. Not bad. I’ll visit again.“

“This was my favorite beer store spot while I was a student at UConn. Despite the fact that most of their business comes from their sales of 30 racks of Keystone and handles of Dubra, Villa has one of the best selections of fine beer in NE Connecticut. Since the store is very close to the college, prices aren’t too reasonable, but the staff is always quick to help good beer lovers.“

“Best for miles, unless you go to MA. For a store less than 5 miles from a large college, Villa has a great selection of beer, and decent wine too. Anything else is Captain Morgans/Dubra all the way, but I’m impressed by their beer.“

“A really big store that is largely frequented by college students. The focus clearly isn’t on craft beer and quality imports, but they do carry a good bit of it. In fact, it’s probably the best selection in this part of the state (east of 84). It seems like they never get anything new, so don’t stop in too often.“

“Small place with a handful of really good beers. Like lots of places in the area, stuff sits on the shelf for a long time. One of the few places around to pick up anything decent.“

“Cottrell’s description pretty well sums it up for me as well. Be wary of the more delicate beers that don’t have a long shelf life as I found several sixers that were well past their enjoy by date while browsing.“

“Hole in the wall, crowded and cluttered little store, with a very nice selection. They have a large selection of domestic beer, and a fair selection of imports as well. On my last visit, I picked up Thumbsucker, Nostrodamus, Oud Beersel Kriek and Gueuze, Thomas Hardy 2003, Flying Dog Wild Dog, Val-Dieu Triple, St. Bernardus Prior 8 (they also had the tripel), and a couple other goodies. Space is very limited, but they make good on what space they do have. They also carry odds and ends like glassware, picked up a Humble Patience nonick last time I was there, pretty sweet. Oh, and on the side coolers, you can get MD 20/20, Richard’s Wild Irish Rose, and Boone’s Farm... what can I say, it’s within reach of Uconn students.“
