52 /100 COMMERCIAL ROAD Quite a large Inn on the East side of Porthleven Harbour, very foodie in character, there is a large outdoor seating area to while away time. Just St Austell ales on sale with non of their specials unfortunately. Just a pleasant place to be. |
62 /100 Ship Inn (Bar) MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD Quite a dominating building on the west side of Porthleven harbour, multi roomed, friendly and bubbly on our visit. We sat outside in the garden overlooking Porthleven harbour, very pleasant. Local beers on sale, nothing too adventurous but solid enough choice. |
68 /100 Ship Inn (Bar) MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD Visited on 12th August 2017. Nice old stone built pub up on the right hand side of the harbour looking out to sea. Lots of boat related decor on the walls, nice trad feel to the place and definitely a mix of locals and tourists as food is served here. Beer range was decent enough with 6 cask beers on, quality decent, service good and prices reasonable. Visit for the setting which is lovely and stop by for a decent local pint. |
78 /100 Ship Inn (Bar) MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD Nice harbour side traditional pub with 6 sticks now and beer in good condition. Old beer mats and pump clips and harbour bits n bobs on show. Nice pub |
78 /100 COMMERCIAL ROAD A pleasant hotel bar with a large outside seating area over the road by the harbour. There are 2 entrances, one into a bar mainly for drinking, and one into a dining area. It is a St Austell brewery house, and there was a decent selection of their ales and the HSD was excellent. There are TV screens for sporting events, and a pool table. Live entertainment |
64 /100 Ship Inn (Bar) MOUNT PLEASANT ROAD An imposing looking pub with it’s back to the cliiffs. Inside is relatively cosy and the place is liberally decorated with knick knacks and the ceiling festooned with pump clips, some of them quite old. Just three cask taps here but the beer was in fine condition. A nice break from the wind and horizontal rain. I can well imagine holing up in this place when the weather really kicks off, as I suspect generations of sea folk have done in the past. |
