“Accessed by some narrow country roads and close to the southern tip of Devon, it's in a small village a little way inland and is across from small store, which is next to a sloping village green. The pub is probably the hub of this sparsely populated area and is a wonderful example of a traditional cosy country public house. In the main room a couple of long dining tables take up most of the space in front of the small bar, which has another room behind it with the access actually through the centre of the service area. A small snug exists to one side, and another room beyond this. There's a mix of ales and ciders, not extensive, but has a good focus on local brews, which probably include South Hams and Otter Brewery. There's a shower in a slightly ramshackle courtyard area too. A few outdoor tables exist, but even if they got full you could probably sit on the green without hassle.“
