60 /100 Stannary Court (JDW) (Bar) 95-99 RIDGEWAY Large one-room pub with some outdoor seating. A typical ´Spoons. A bit worn. A separate dining area - that came to our rescue. |
58 /100 George Inn (St. Austell) (Bar) 191 RIDGEWAY A two-roomed semi-modern pub with a small outdoor seating. 3 ales on cask. 12 on keg. No surprises. Seemed ok for food - but we were too late. |
62 /100 London Inn (Bar) 8 CHURCH ROAD A two-roomed charming pub in a residential area. 4 ales on cask. Only 2 on when we visited. At least 8 on keg. Cozy pub! |
64 /100 Union Inn (Bar) 17 UNDERWOOD ROAD A good-looking backstreet pub in a residential area. One room. 4 ales on cask - some unusual ones. 7 keg. Ok music. |
62 /100 Stannary Court (JDW) (Bar) 95-99 RIDGEWAY A medium-sized, one-roomed JDW in the main street of Plympton. Located in a brick, grand II listed, building. Cask ales from southwest breweries like Summerskills, South Hams and Dartmoor among others. Bottled craft beers in the fridge. Fast and polite service. My mixed grill was satisfying, and we were happy to find a place serving food late on a Sunday eve. Our bus ride, no. 21a, from Plympton to the train station in Plymouth took about 20 minutes (Visited with Finn 25.09.2016). |
52 /100 George Inn (St. Austell) (Bar) 191 RIDGEWAY A rather spacious, modern pub in the central part of Plympton. St Austell ales on three hand pumps and mostly the usual fizzy stuff on 12 kegs. Our ales were both in fine condition. Has got a restaurant section with a tempting food menu. We came late, so there was no food options after 20.00 o’clock, but they kindly showed us the way to a JDW further down the same street (Visited with Finn, 25.09.2016). |
56 /100 London Inn (Bar) 8 CHURCH ROAD The second pub stop on our trip to Plympton on a Sunday eve. Located in a residential area on the other side of the Salvation Army. Two rooms served by a bar in the middle. A cozy traditional British pub with maritime decorations. Four cask ales on offer. Polite service (Visited with Finn, 25.09.2016). |
56 /100 Union Inn (Bar) 17 UNDERWOOD ROAD A community, old school pub located in a brick building in the Plympton area. Four different and rotating cask ales, quite a few ciders and some bottles. Medium sized in mahogany wood interiors. Polite service. Likable background music from Queen, Cure, Van Morrison and Depeche Mode at our stay. (Visited with Finn, early on a Sunday eve 25.09.2016). |
