“Visited 9/3/2023. For some reason I had this in my head as being the biggest and best of the B&K chain as it had often been spoken about when I’d visited others in the chain, but it’s neither. But it’s perfectly adequate and whilst the cask beers were pretty ordinary as they are in most of them, the keg beers were pretty decent.“

“Visited 9/3/2023. Quite a new venue which first opened just in time for the Covid lockdowns. Offers a very good selection of beers, both local and otherwise, for drink in or take out, in a cafe style setting. Was quite busy with locals mostly using it as coffeehouse lunch spot than for drink in beers, but we’ll worth a look if in the area.“

“Nice little cafe and bottle shop in one. We were looking for local beer and left with 10 new cans of Eight Arch and Dark Revolution. They also had a selection of cider, large craft breweries and common foreign beer.“

“A big brewpub with three of their own cask ales as well as another five kegs on at my visit. They do thirds three at a time. The burger was tasty. As expected it was quiet on a random Thursday around noon.“

“Visited at around 16:30 on a Fridy. Converted shop. Dark brick-a-brack style decor. Welcoming staff. They chatted to the regulars and also offered recommendations to tourists who were looking for food recommendations. Pretty much all the beers were local apart from a couple of further afield craft breweries. What was interesting is that they always order a beer from wherever it is that Bournemouth are home to, so I ticked off a new Leicester brewery. A few UK craft beers in a fridge too. Unfortunately the pork pies had sold out but the charcuterie board was not too shabby. The kind of micropub I'd love to have near me. “

“Paid two visits in one day. Visit 1: The first time I picked up bottles because I was in search of new brewery ticks and wanted to get to the other place/s. At 3:30ish on a Friday it was sparse. This meant the barman had time to extol the virtues of the brewery to me but also meant I got to fully hear about some lad's sexual conquests. Jealous, me? Visit 2: I had time to go in again before my train so heard back and was slightly puzzled.... the door had apparently moved. I entered via a sliding patio door and was told, "Sorry, we're closed." At that point I turned to my left and saw the tap over the road. It turns out that Way Outback have a tap on the right had side of a T-junction and this pizza place on the left. The offered to send pizza over.... On this second visit the relatively small former shop was full (maybe 10 table's?), however they also have some outdoor seating so I sat there. The barman welcomed me back and talked me through the beers on tap. A pretty good set up even if the beers don't always hit the mark.“

“Large corner pub. When I set of in search of the loo it seemed to be positively cavernous. A smart if traditional style. May as well be a Hungry Horse. Not super busy at around 3:00 on a Friday afternoon but did seem to be Daddy Daycare central, with multiple blokes with kids. Anyway, the usual not great beers. Ticked off the brewpub. No need to return again.“

“This is a review of their online delivery service. I ordered as many different beers as I could. The beers were all in cans and arrived in a couple of days, well packed so they all arrived safely. All of the beers I have tried so far have been good or very good.“

“Spacious, central, street corner place with the brewery plant to the rear. Five of their own beers available at our stay, good prices, and possible to buy in thirds. Quite good range of guest ales. Decent Caesar Salad and polite service. (Visited with Finn 22.10.2019).“

“A fairly small place in a lovely old corner building with windows all around. Woodern, open stonework and industrial look with a few hints towards the Australian name. There’s the bar area and a bunch of seating when you walk in, then another small room behind at the back. It’s really locally with a friendly crowd and very family friendly (a big plus point for me). 14 taps with a varied selection of British micros, 4 taps being cider when I visited. Unfortunately there were none of their own beers on at the time but supposedly they were coming back soon. A lovely little place that’s well worth the easy bus ride from Bournemouth.“

“Visited before but most recently on the afternoon of New Years eve, it's a great little micropub with a small selection of real ales and a small but growing selection of fun cans and bottles. Friendly service and a great atmosphere. Well worth a visit, particularly combined with the Brewhouse & Kitchen around the corner.“

“Big place with a huge a bar going around the center, a food area in the back and various seating areas all around. It’s fairly modern, but not minimalist, with brew stuff around and plenty of wood. Busy when visited on a Thursday evening but still a few seats available. 6 of their own beers were available on cask plus a selection of guests including Beavertown, Meantime, obvious Belgian beers and ciders. 1/3s available for tasting, at only 1 pound each for their own beers. Nothing of exceptional quality, but still a nice place and a welcome addition for Bournemouth. Also easy to combine with a visit to Wight Bear Ale House which is just up the road.“

“Brilliant micropub, the best pub in Bournemouth. Great, frendly atmosphere, great ales (and ciders) - changing all the time. It’s like a permanent beer festival with a ski chalet atmosphere.“
