80 /100 Eight Bells (Bar) JEVINGTON ROAD Great local free house in a small town in the South Downs national park. The interior is nice, with a traditional pub feel that’s clean and welcoming, and the beer garden out back is extremely pleasant, with views out into horse fields and the downs. Four hand pumps stocked with a great selection of local real ales, plus a wider variety on draft and in bottles. I didn’t eat any food, but there was a big menu that looked good. This is just the sort of pub that you hope to stumble on when you’re driving down a country lane. |
