“Realised I'd been in here a couple of times before gigs at the Garage but pre joining RB. Typical B&K venue decor.. somewhere between trad pub and a Harvester. At around 13:00 on a Monday there was a smattering of clientèle... all work lunches. A combination of quiet tables and some guy lecturing about bonds or such like. Usual array of their bland beers and a couple of macro-claiming-to-be-craft guests. Staff not overly helpful. Ticked off the brewpub.“

“The 3rd of the chain I've visited, this one's only a mile from The Emirates Stadium, my destination later that day. The venue is a decent set up with the brew kit on show, and there was just enough spare tables for me to garb one as it very quickly filled up with Arsenal fans. Choice of around 8 or so of there own beers, the couple I tried were pretty average. Food was also available.“

“On the north side of the large traffic island system outside Highbury Station, this Brewhouse and Kitchen chain pub has quite a welcoming feel to it, with an entrance though a garden area and brewing kits in a large opening out space when you enter, it's very well done. The beer selection is obviously mainly focused on their own brews and these can be found on the cask pumps at the start of the bar on your left, which starts a few metres on the left side after entering. Food is served here too and seemed popular on my evening visit, although I didn't partake.“

“Visited August-19: spacious and at the same time cosy brewpub with a good selection of inhouse and guest beers. Menu looked tempting as well, but it was a bit early in the day for a meal for me. Will certainly be back next time I'm in London, even though my flight of beers this time were rather mediocre.“

“Quite spacious inside and predictably dead as I visited at opening. At least 12 of their own beers on tap, with (cheap) flights available. Would be worth another visit to check out any new one-off beers.“

“Great modern upmarket wine shop which also has a great selection of beers. This is one of those shops where very careful thought has gone into every wine, beer, whisky on the shelf and the staff are well trained and know their stuff. Beer range ias decent and features mainly British stuff including Cloudwater, Wylam, Beavertown and London locals. Good news is that most of the beers are stored in fridges to keep them fresh. Also have a choice selection of Belgian and American beers. I'd score this higher but it's primarily a wine shop.“

“If you happens to be in this area, this is a really good place to look for a beer or five. Really nice bottle selection. Not much else in this area“

“An excellent wine shop/beer shop. Good part of the store dedicated to beers, in fridges and on shelves, right in the front. Lots of London stuff, especially Kernel and Beavertown, plus loads of other UK and continental European Brewers, with lots from Belgium inclduing Cantillon. Lots of classic and regular beers plus some more one-off type stuff. Very fair prices. Neatly laid out. Probably not worth trekking up here just for the shop, but if I lived locally I would stop in at least once per week!“

“A new brewpub from the same stable as the one in Angel. This one is larger and has a bigger brewing kit. We visited early on a Friday evening - perhaps not the best time because both inside and the large patio outside were crowded with people who’d just escaped work for the weekend. They have eight kegs and eight casks. The manager, spotting us taking notes rather than revelling like everyone else, came over and said “This looks like a tasting session if ever I saw one” and he seemed genuinely interested in what we thought of the beers. My verdict would be that they are perfectly drinkable if not exciting and that most of the ones we had were in good condition. (Visited 31 July 2015).“

“Visited july 2015, with beery friends. Larger cosy brewpub, very busy when we visited the place. Lots of food and beer related decos around the brewpub. Lots of seatings both inside as outside, we were lucky and found a place inside. They had a good selection of their beers on, served in good condition. One of the staff came by our table and told a bit about the beers and the brewpub. They did a nice range of beer food as well, didn´t eat this time, but will for sure be back.“

“New brewpub in industrial-chic style. Eight handpumps, most with own-brewed ales, plus a bunch of mostly "international lagers" on keg. Good bar food.“

“Visited at lunchtime on Friday 22/05/15 on Rilesters recommendation. Located about a 10 minute walk from Arsenal tube, perhaps a touch more from Finsbury Park, but on the frequent #19 bus route from the latter making for an expedient arrival. Highbury Vintners is a solid offie, perhaps 75% wine/25 % beer but what they pack in is solid. Lots of London micros, all the usual suspects - Kernel, Beavertown, BBNo, 5 Points, Fourpure, Partizan et al. Some solid regional UK micros also evident such as Marble, Thornbridge and Wiper & True. Aside from the UK offerings there are plenty of the more common Belgian, German and US stuff to go at, couple of Flying Dog offerings and the like. Beers are approx 70% on the shelf and 30% in a fridge for immediate refreshment. Service was prompt and friendly, the guy knew his stuff. I’d popped in to buy some Skull King and we debated the merits of Skull King vs Bone King - Bone King wins! Overall a solid bottle shop, a little off the beaten track for anyone in central London but if you are in or passing the area (say Finsbury Park or Highbury & Islington - 19 bus again) then well worth dropping in.“
